Alright he's at L-1, I like to hear from Verb before the hammer falls. To avoid another Song lynch I'm going to bring him to L-2 but Verbal if we don't hear from you by tomorrow morning my vote goes back .

@Aust's question, it was a point that Locke made that I hadn't ever considered before: I thought, an innocent death would cancel out a guilty death, but Locke pointed out that maybe it doesn't because there are likely fewer guilty than innocent, making the guilty deaths worth more. It was just something I hadn't thought about.

Plus, like I said, I figured maybe knowing Verbal was guilty would help people figure out who else might be guilty.

@Verbal....Older siblings always know. And I would know, being a real-life eldest child.

I'm kind of surprised everyone was jumping on the Verbal lynch, I thought there would be more discussion than this.

Then again, there aren't tons of people left in the game and activity seems kind of low at the moment.

Vote Play3rI just can't get behind this lynch.

False my good friend. Are you sure that's what you want to do?

Why is one of the strongest cases for a scum a so hard for you to vote for?

Posted

well how many scum are left. 3ish right and by that logic about 6 townies. I think that's great odds and if she is lying we only lose him then would lynch her the next day so we would lose both anyway (that makes no sense) and if she is telling the truth we would have to lynch him eventually anyway.

His wrists still burned where Vidan had grabbed him. No mark marred the skin, but the pain remained. Dallar thought of it as a constant reminder of the path he had been walking, a path he may walk again, if he was not careful; a path that had lead to all of this. If he had been there for Vidan in the beginning, perhaps none of this insanity would have transpired.

When they left the dungeon to enter the courtyard, Dallar could not help but feel overwhelmed at the scene of carnage. Craters in the earth where Menden had made his presence known. The remains of bodies in puddles of blood; the work of the Asteri. Even as he stepped outside, he saw Acrasifer, the Alfa, leap onto a fleeing pirate and rip into him with claws and fangs.

“Acrasifer!” Menden Atal shouted as they approached. The Asterit stood up, his blue fur drenched in the blood of pirates. “We must go now, before the battle is over and they turn on us.”

“We should stay and help them kill each other.” Acrasifer growled.

Menden shook his head. “We have more pressing matters. The Land of Ash.”

Snarling angrily, the Alfa turned and barked out orders. The rest of the Asteri, barely a handful, appeared, similarly stained in blood. Barks and growls issued from them and Acrasifer let out a howl to the dim Unfallen Moon above.

“What is is?” Dallar asked.

“They’ve lost a brother.” Menden answered. “We will have to mourn on the ship, let’s go.” The Asteri rushed off toward what Dallar had to assume was the docks. Dallar stopped, looking back at the dungeon. “Dallar, we have to go!”

“No.” Dallar growled.

“What?”

“Not without his body.” Dallar explained, running back to the dungeon He heard Menden curse behind him but did not look to see if he was followed. Climbing back over the rubble, he made his way to Vidan’s cell. The body still lay there as if sleeping. Dallar knelt and scooped his brothers body into his arms. He was lucky no pirates were around, for Vidan’s body kept both his arms occupied. Exiting the dungeon, he saw Menden still waiting for him.

“Hurry! The battle is done, and we will not want her to find us.”

Dallar offered no more complaint and followed Menden eagerly. They approached the docks, and Dallar was presented with the sight of the t’Grasea’avinifer, patched and towering over the pirate ships. A shout of alarm made Dallar turn around to see pirates spilling from the castle, murder in their eyes. It was time to go.

“Set out!” Menden yelled, and the ship began to pull away from the docks. Dallar didn’t have the breath to ask questions as ran after the departing ship. “Jump!” Menden ordered. Dallar did as he was told, figuring the icy waters safer than the pirates behind them.

Before they broke the surface of the water, the surface rushed up to them. The water grabbed them and pushed them up. Dallar struggled to keep Vidan in his grip as they were raised by a column of water to be thrown onto the deck of the ship.

Dallar hit the deck rolling, keeping Vidan’s body sheltered in his. Coming to rest on his knees, he laid Vidan down and stood, running over to the stern of the ship to peer at the fading Kyzet harbor. Pirates crowded the pier, waving weapons and shouting curses. Dallar let out a sigh of relief. They had made it out the other side once again, spitting in the face of death.

“By the Gods.” Someone whispered. It was Minua Oramel, one of the last two surviving Orashkin. Dallar looked to the bow of the ship and his eyes were drawn beyond it. The relief he had felt washed away, as his body soon would be, along with them all – along with the world. A wave rose like a gaping jaw to swallow them whole. There was nowhere to turn, nowhere to hide. They could not outrun this. They had escaped probable death to land into the hands of certain death. Even the words of Ardisone the Blind seemed hollow in the face of this titan of Agrime, as if the Goddess had sent her pet to bring her what she had been denied.

“Bear witness,” Anamira said in barely audible reverence. “The true Wrath of Agrime.”

“Have we forsaken the path somehow?” Sorine Cucil asked, fear and the need for understanding sharp.

Menden pushed them out of his way, climbing his way to the bow. He held out his hands. Nothing happened. His body shook with visible tension as the tidal wave blacked out the sun, casting the ship in its shadow. Dallar looked to find Anamira and Sorine in desperate prayer. Dallar would have joined them, had he been a man of religion. He was tempted to do so anyways; it would not have been any more useless than anything else he could do. The entire ship was suddenly drenched from the mist that cascaded from the mouth of that jaw of water.

His attention was drawn to Teral Tsilnar. He was the only one not afraid. He stood tall, teeth bared in an angry scowl, as if unbelieving that the tidal wave would dare to end his life. Before Dallar could dwell, his eyes were once again drawn to Menden Atal, as two blue ropes, not threads, but ropes as thick as a mans arms, snaked from the within that wave, directly in front of the ship and rested in Mendens open palms, which he immediately closed into fists.

Body shaking uncontrollably, Menden began to pull the two ropes apart, the effort visible. Dallar could not help wondering which would break first, the wave or Menden. Menden was forced up onto his toes, then he was floating above the deck, head thrown back in pain or concentration or both, or something Dallar could not imagine. Still, he pulled the ropes, straining with every inch he could to stretch them apart.

Just then Dallar witnessed the split. It was like a blade had cleaved a path in the wave even as it swept over them; a path just big enough to let the ship pass. Dallar watched the wave rush over the island of Kyzet, ending the threat of pirates forever. The ship rocked in the wake of that wave, Asteri rushing to steady it.

Menden was on his knees, obviously exhausted. Dallar went to him, helping him to his feet and taking him to where he could sit down. His breath was soft, and rasping. That scared Dallar more than heaving breaths would have. After sitting him down, resting his back against a mast, Dallar called for some water.

“Menden.” He said, shaking with emotion. His gratitude could not be put into words. This man had no reason to be here, had only come to see that Dallar did not continue down his dark path. And he had already done so much for them all. Too much to be repaid. “Menden, what you did here…” His voice cracked. Taking a breath, he smiled. “You saved us. Again.”

Menden shook his head. Voice weak, “I may have just…doomed us all…” He coughed. “Take me to the…stern…”

Dallar eyed him questioningly, but did as he was asked, moving steadily to the stern, he showed Menden the drowned island. Only it wasn’t drowned. Dallar could not make any sense of it. A figure could barely be seen, what might have been long white hair billowing in the wind.

“Nightheart.” Menden chuckled weakly.

“You can’t be serious.” Dallar gasped.

“Unfortunately.” Menden nodded.

“Menden, she could do what you can. She’s the same as you are.”

The words seemed to stab Menden. “The same as me.” He repeated.

Dallar realized what it sounded like. “No,” he reassured, “Not the same as you, of course. You couldn’t be more different.” The words didn’t seem to help. “I meant that she could Weave and Shape. So can you. What do they call that?”

“Reavers.” Menden chuckled softly.

Dallar sighed. “It doesn’t even matter. We need to get you to a bed so you can rest.”

“Yes, rest.” Menden breathed. “Not too much rest though. You need to come see me soon, Dallar. We have to talk. Very important.”

“Of course.” Dallar said.

by my count that doesnt leave too many scum. Im coming out with a reveal now.

Im also a sibling like Meesh. I am tied to tigs and False dragon. I got told one was innocent and one was scum but I didnt know which was which. Tigs is out of play so it must be False. I havent revealed earlier because he is tied to Limi and I thought that his death wouldnt be worth it.

So today everyone lynch verbal then either kill me or False and that should take out a squirming mafia member who will hate my guts for this post.

Limi; I dont know how much you know about him but he is mafia and he has to die.

Posted

Yes, so you are willing to die, take of FD AND Take me out??

Two innocents for the price of one scum??

I have recruited FD to my cult. I will let him tell you what he told me, I will give him today to decide to post it himself, or I will post what he told me on the QT.

Right now I am leaning towards Verbal over the death of 3 people.

Posted

Im sorry I didnt make that clear. Im putting me forward for tomorrow. I just revealed today to give Meesh some more cred and I figured False was probably even the last scum after that

Posted

This is exactly what I'm talking about here. Play3r, I was guilty, I'm not now. That's why I feel that we shouldn't go with meesh and verbal. Maybe Thorum.

And you just gave whatever scum are left five targets to choose from now this night. Congrats, Play3r. Smooth.

Putting yourself forward tomorrow, play3r?

Smart plan you have there, except:

Play3r: Innocent

False: Innocent

Limi: Innocent

Meesh: Most likely Innocent

Verbal: Most likely Innocent (to me)

That leaves: Thorum, Aust, and Wombat.

Thorum is good for me, still. Wouldn't surprise me if his vote on (partner) Led was intended to mislead.

And yes, it's because I was a guilty sibling that turned Innocent that I am beleiving it likely Verbal is innocent too. Anyone recall a Transformation? Verbal, can you comment on any of this when you return?

Posted

Vote Play3rI just can't get behind this lynch.

Or yeah, you know, let's just not do anything and let time run out and add another penalty onto our belt.

Why do you say that but leave a vote on me which you freely admit will kill 3 people all of whom you claim are innocent. If I were mafia surely that makes an easy target for a lynch and you so far havent suggested anyone else worth lynching.

Plus if you have become innocent but you were mafia why did you not give us the names of your mafia buddies??? thats the first thing I would do if I was turned. I know it can happen. Lily did it to me when I was cult and Ed was mafia turned cult

Hell yes I can comment. That transformation was me. I started out neither town nor scum (technically), but am able to "lean" like Dallar. Due to whatever choices the town has made, I'm with you now. I found out all this info just last game night, so I haven't been sitting on it. I'm back from LOA, so ask any questions you want.

As to who I think we should lynch, no idea. I knew Locke was scum, but obviously didn't say anything as I was (at the time) "leaning" scum myself. So, again, Meesh was right. But not anymore.

If you lynch me, Meesh will die with me and that'll be 2 more townies. We can't afford it.

For what it's worth, I believe FD here. Which means that by extension, I also believe Limi.

Also, can somebody unvote me and get me away from L-1 and the ninja hammer please?

Posted

This has come down to some logic I think - by process if elimination False's logic should hold. Limi it's interesting you're voting opposite him in this.

Thorum has been so quiet this game it's been impossible to get a read on him. Player has only been slightly more vocal but forthe most part has lurked. I could go wih either one on this.

Honestly Everyone...

FD was a "Liar" like Aemon. He claims he was recruited and the only one to have succeeded. He says they were an apposing cult and have now died out. Not sure I believe that.

I think the FD Verbal thing is co operation right now...

And Aust.. If you try to kill player, you take out at least two innocents by doing so. Since Player - whom I believe is innocent, FD - unsure, and Me - innocent will all die.

I can understand your concern there, Limi, but you are the one who's a Cult Leader. In every game I've played....every....a Cult Leader was anti-town. This would mark the first game I've ever seen that had a Mason Recruiter that was instead called a Cult Leader? Not sure I buy that. Do we have any confirmed townies right now?

It appears that many players are linked. It also looks like there is scum in each group....not counting any potential transformations (like mine).

I'm the assassin mentioned in the first night scene - I'm the one who got hit with whatever Wombat the thief had. It changed me. My chance on viewing went from 100% scum to the now 100% innocent. Once the transformation was complete, I became town-aligned.

But that doesn't mean there aren't others that haven't been changed. We are dangerously close to endgame here.

Posted

I am not going by Townie vs Scum, that doesn't apply in this game, because everything doesn't flow that way. If you look at the OP deaths aren't listed as Mafia, or Townie, it's by group, and by innocent or guilty.

I am Innocent, feel free to read through my actions in the story and see if there was once a single hint, glimer, or thought of anything there. I go based a lot on that when I look at people to be honest.

However, what you said makes sense. It sounds detailed enough to make sense.

The only thing is, I AM the cult leader meaning I am not sure I BUY the fact that there was/is a second Cult. I know that in this game previous roles or commitments DO NOT CHANGE. Just because I recruited some one, doesn't mean they are in the clear.
