The last tourney that Gregor won was all villians. The people who set the brackets decided all WOT villians suck and didnt include them. A bunch of us called them all stupid, and they came up with the match they have now.

I kind of got the idea in the first one that they were kind of against Rand and WOT to begin with. They used one of the worst pictures of him ever. Made like balefire was his only option and only grudgingly accepted that he would win in ther videos. Plus there seemed to be some shenanigans at the end, as I thought I read the polls stayed open about 3 hours later than they were supposed to.

I don't know why so many people voted for Jaime in the last one anyway. I mean for one... no magic. And two.... dude is a prick. I'm only just starting the second novel in aSoIaF and I already hate the guy. Maybe he becomes more like-able later on, I dunno. Don't spoil it for me! And I don't get how Rand dropped some total pwnage on the entire bracket earlier this year and they still seeded him at 5 in this one? Totally biased against WoT.

I've been told this before. Though I can't think of much that would make him any more sympathetic for me. I think I read he becomes a POV character in book 3? Or is it 2? I'm reading aCoK right now but I'm only a few chapters in.

Yea I realized this later. I thought there was a second cage match plus the villains cage match. I didn't realize they were just pitting the two champs against each other until after I posted that.

I read his write-ups and thought they were really good. Though I'm not sure he really understands the WoT universe very well. I thought Sanderson's write up of how the match with Jaime would go was hilarious though. Rand wins by default because he was already insane. Genius! Haha! Martin's whole thing where Jaime hurled a bunch of crap at Rand until he used up all the OP in this "neutral world" was kinda lame though. And even then, I think Rand with his good hand beets Jaime without his sword hand 9 times out of 10. But George has some pretty rabid fans too and he was more closely involved with the whole Suvudu thing than Sanderson was so yea that probably brought in all the Ice and Fire fanboys/girls.

I just looked at the villains' bracket. The voters got it all wrong. Dwight Schrute should have pwned all those other losers. I can't believe he was eliminated in the first round. Think about it! He's a total geek. So he would know all of their weaknesses. Not to mention he's trained in karate and has a wicked arsenal of weapons hidden all over the office. I'm not even sure Rand would be able to defeat him.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll understand better once I've gotten through the first 4 books and I'm sitting on my hands waiting for the 5th like the rest of Martin's fans.

In the villans bracket the reaper should have won, I mean come on its DEATH! (and it would have been funny to pit Rand Vs death, since all of us know hes going to beat death in AMOL, somehow, or at least it is very very likely).
