TofM Audible Download

As Brandon tweeted over the weekend, the Audible download skipped four pages. I can confirm that Audible UK version has now been fixed, both the 4 and Enhanced formats.

The easy way to tell if you have the faulty file is Part 3 Length = 7hrs 29 Mins. the fixed file runs to 7hrs 41. the affected missing section of Chapter 24 occurs at 1hr25m44seconds.

Kudos to Audible for fixing the file so quickly.

are you for serious? what did i miss in those twelve minutes?! ANYTHING could have happened! it was prolly a short POV chapter from Bella about how all her plans were finaly coming to fruition... if only her Chosen would stop failing so hard and getting themselves killed. If i missed out on Kate Reading doing Bella's evil horsie "MWAHAHAHAHAHA" laugh, theres gonna be hell to pay!

It's part of a Perrin PoV, and I don't think you could've missed it if you heard the recording. I played that part like 10 times trying to make sense of it until I decided something HAS to be missing.

Audible.com tells me that one can now download the fixed 3rd part in quality 4.

And... ummm... why is there a UK version and a USA version? What's the difference; do they read the humor parts a bit more dry for the UK version, or put more emphasis on the descriptions of crooked teeth?

no, we spell it humour for a start... ( And we still haven't forgotten Dick van Dyke's unforgivable aural assault on the Cockney (dialect of London) accent in Mary Poppins either... )

seriously though, it's actually the same version - Kramer and Reading. it's just that UK users can only download from audible.co.uk instead of .com I only mentioned it because I downloaded from the UK and couldn't confirm whether the US version had been fixed as well (although I suspected it probably had) and didn't want a whole load of "no it hasn't" replies by not stating that I'd downloaded from the UK site.

Seems Peter A has picked up my email message and Brandon has tweeted that it's been fixed.

I have comformation from Audible that this has been fixed. I e-mailed them about this and received a fairly quick reply that they knew about the problem. Then I received another email saying it has been fixed. It also gave information on how to repair your copy if you had already downloaded it.

you might want to check the first file as well.. When redownloading the 3rd file from audible today, I noted that the 1st one was 5 minutes longer than the one i downloaded the first day as well.

Too tired tonight to whine at them, but while I'm happy audible corrected the issue, I would be even happier had they sent me an email noting the issue.. Had I not come here and seen the comments, i probably wouldnt have noticed/resolved it, and just chunked it up as something i just "missed" in the listening.

Well, probably just accents.

I mean, looks at the documentary series Life. The UK narrator is David Attenborough. The US one is Oprah. I choose UK version.
