Hmmm.... gotta think more generally!

Do we get any surprising new PoVs?

Surprising? I don't think so. We are still waiting on a few POVs we've never had. I do expect we will get them next book. I hope, anyway.

Hmm, it would stand to reason that if he had a full length PoV then his past life memories" wouldn't have stuck, because he would know way too much. However, if it is a short PoV of him getting turned or slain by Sir Gawain of Hammy Giles...

I don't follow your reasoning. However, I do get the impression that he only has Lews Therin's memories permanently. The others were just a momentary epiphany. Birgitte demonstrates that it's not really possible to retain that many memories while incarnate.

I'm mostly inferring that, if he had remembered the lives before LTT, including the position on the wheel that he is at now, then it would be hard to write a PoV like that, not least to say that he would know (or be able to recall) exactly what works and what doesn't. Though, you brought up a good point about Birgitte's declining memory, something I had overlooked.

I also got this feeling from the way the Prologue played out, though Rand has never had a Prologue PoV (other than as LTT), correct?

Yeah, I don't mind discouraging the expectation that Rand will remember from a past life how to seal the Bore. It won't be that easy, IMO.

True.

Yea, I was hoping the way you're describing it was the case, two (more) books devoid of Rand's thoughts would be hard to swallow. Thanks for the quick responses and look forward to updated theories or new ones...

It's the final (week) countdown!

Well, I'll be crossing my fingers for the long-awaited Taim and Logain PoVs in A Memory of Light then... :(

Terez,

Thanks for the good review and info.

I seem to recall that Brandon mentioned in an interview that he would not be creating any new major secondary characters except for one character that would have a role in the Last Battle. Does this character show up? If yes, can you give us his/her name? What is this character's purpose? I realize some if not all of these questions might be RAFOs.

Does the Moraine ToG plotline get resolved in TOM or Addressed?

like do we get a clifhanger or full resolved?

I was expecting a cliffhangerish ending for TGS. But when we didn't get Ghenjei in TGS, we pretty much knew we would get a resolution of this in TOM. It's on the cover. Obviously, it's not a cliffhanger. That would be beyond cruel. I won't promise you'll get everything you're expecting, but this will be resolved.

Oh and where is this "larry's review" i keep hearing about? I found yours jason leigh tamyrlin's. but do you know where i can read this? or provide a link hahaha

See the only thread on this forum that appears to have been started by me.

I am not sure if I ran across this character or not, to be honest. Depends on the definition of 'major secondary'...and of course, also on what they do in the future. It may be that this character showed up in TGS, and you just don't know yet why they are important.

IMO, all of the characters are a little different under Brandon's interpretation of them...even Rand. Perrin is probably the only one that I think he gets nearly exactly right, and that's probably because Brandon relates to Perrin best. But I think he writes them all well.
