Sorry for the delay but I have been sick this week....

 

 

Chuck and Hoppy went head to head this week and Chuck came out the better with his pick of the Eagles over the Cowboys. +5 Chuck

 

Hax and Imperium both ran with the Patriots and picked up +5 a piece.

 

Soy Boyo tried to sneak in a Hail Mary with the Rams but they fell short.

The biggest dog this week is the Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons by 7 points. So pick the Seahawks to beat the Falcons for 8 points (3points + 5 points)

This is a tough week... I normally would pick the Ravens, but after the show that Houston put on against them in the fourth quarter I wonder what the more consistent New Orleans passing offense will do against them throughout the course of an entire game. Then again you have to think that that Houston debacle may have pissed them off and that they are going to come into this game and destroy the Saints. Hmmm... I think that I am going to have to go with the Ravens in this one. I think that Harbaugh will correct the problems from last week and that the Saints passing offense may struggle somewhat. At least, that's what I'm hoping for.

I gotta go with the Cowboys. Rumor is that the Redskins are going to bench McNabb. He always gives my boys fits so without him they should handle the skins.

Week 15 Results

HoppyQ stuck with the Cowboys and they barely squeaked by the Redskins to give HoppyQ 3 points.

 

We had a pretty even split on the people's pick for the 5 Point Game. Who came out on top? The Ravens! That means Mr. Soy Boyo and Chuckievi pick up the 5 points.

Can't decide on just one game this week. Both options are good. The Bears are fighting for a 1st Round Playoff Bye so they will be in a dog fight agaisnt a good Jets team. The other offers an early peek at a potential NFC Playoff Matchup. So.... take your pick.

Hail Mary

 

This week is going to be a doozy of a Hail Mary. So much so that I am willing to boost the points gained to 10 because if it happens, it would be a miracle. The team with the longest shot at victory is the Panthers, who are a 15 point dog to the Steelers. So pick the Carolina Panthers to upset the Pittsburg Steelers for 10 points.

I think the Steelers are struggling without big hair Troy, but the Panthers are such a mess that I just don't think there's any way I can pick that one. Let's see, who should I pick? I know! I'll go with the Cowboys this week! (sorry, accountants are nothing if not predictable.)

Looks like the only winner this week is Imperium with 5 points for the Saints win over the Falcons. Poor HoppyQ ran with the Cowboys again and fell short. Will he stick with them in the final week? We'll see.....

Well boys and girls, we have come to the final week of the Pick'em. This can be a tricky week because some teams may decide to rest their starters for the Playoffs. So do your homework! I don't agree with the odds makers on this week's games, but I have to go with their numbers..... don't blame me.

I will offer two Hail Mary's for two reasons: 1) I think the odds makers suck this week, 2) It will spice up our final week. In honor of our final week, the Hail Mary will be worth 10 points.

 

First game is once again, the hapless Carolina Panthers who are a 14 1/2 point dog to the Atlanta Falcons. Pick the Panthers over the Falcons for 10 points.

OR

One of my favoirte teams, the Bears are 10 point dogs to the Packers of all people. How in the world they say this is beyond me. Anyways, pick the Bears over Green Bay for 10 points.

I think the Pack is favored because they need to win and the Bears (boo) have already clinched. I would take the Packers on this one just for fun. But, since I've been a sucker all year anyway, I'll stick with my 'Boys for the finale. Vick might not play due to a bruised thigh and I don't think a win improves them so not a lot of motivation.

 

Maybe you should have made the Colts a 10 point pick. It's tough to tell what they'll do right now. As it stands they need a win or Jax loss to get in. Jax plays before they do so how they play could depend on whether or not Jax wins in the early game. If Jax wins then I'd bet on the Colts since they'll need to but if Jax loses then Peyton might sit out most of the game since they'll be in.

Well it looks like I'm in knenonenof those "I need a win and someone else to loose" situations. So I'll be taking my team who I have avoided all year because they suck. I'm taking the Panthers over the Falcons. Now I just hope that hax looses and maybe I can tie him.

Week 17 saw HoppyQ's persistence pay off with a Dallas win, gaining 3 points. Also Hax scored 5 points with the Giants win over the Redskins.

 

I guess Chicago was who we thought they were. The Packers did not let them off the hook.
