Yes, I've seen your theory.

Actually, the main prophecy I had in mind was not mentioned in that theory, I don't think. Galad, putting on white as if wrapping himself in his own shroud. That suggests not so much that he will die because of joining the Whitecloaks as that it suggests he will die for the principles that led him to join in the first place, IMO.

Terez, I like your thinking here. Very nice catch. Not sure if it will happen this way, but it would flow seamlessly with WOT style and legend creation. Now, pertaining to your discussion with Cortezthekiller... consider this. The "Great Hunt" bonus material might let both of you be right. It would make sense that bonus material would not come in the middle or at the end of the book. Terrible PR, and pretty sappy. Could it not be part of the prologue? Or, given that Brandon Sanderson could not release "in between" material like he wanted, maybe he and TOR came up with this as a compromise. It gives a little extra light and continuity for us uber-fans, and it works as a great promo for two of TOR's releases this year. Or, could TOR be releasing sections of the prologue in different ways this year? Make us work for it, and appreciate it a little more than last year? All these may be hard ideas to digest, but are plausible (if not probable- I admit).

Despite Terez's compelling argument to the contrary, I am still under the impression this is a mid-tGS/ToM Mat chapter. Now mentions of the Gholam are popping up as well.

I can see no other logical explanation for the text. I know Brandon wanted to do something like that with a Pevara chapter but was denied by higher powers, but I cannot imagine that they would release a later chapter in the book than chapter one (which this most definitely is NOT).

It's going to be Mat and co. checking into the Seven Striped Lass inn in Caemlyn, Thom talking to people about the Queen (he needs to reunite with Elayne as well) and Mat facing the Gholam again (thus the mentions of "foxhead [medallion]" and all the new "blood and ashes" that have showed up as well.

They have released chapter 2 before.

Right. It's most likely chapter 2, if it's part of ToM at all. I cannot imagine that it is one of the mid chapters. And anyway, I like the idea that Mat's POV starts already in Caemlyn. We know he has to go there before he goes to the ToG. I don't want to read 5 chapters of him getting there. No new Hinderstap, please.

Oh I guess I forgot about that. Being chapter two then would make sense.

We can still start to deduce what it's going to be about.

Anybody got any other ideas other than what I suggested? Obviously it's Mat, but I also think Thom will be at least helping Elayne "under the table" with his Game of Houses skillz, and I think Mat will meet up with the Gholam and use his fancy foxhead medallion again.

I disagree and think it is more of a Han quote.

"I've got a bad feeling about this."

―Han in the garbage masher

"I have a very bad feeling about this."

―Luke, first seeing the Death Star

But anyway, I saw Brandon Tweeted yesterday that he left a second copy of the missing "greatfathers" clue from Idaho Falls in a bookstore outside security in portland airport. Anyone heard anything about this one yet?

Clue 11 has been entered, but I can't find what it is.

I worded my response a little weird. I was giving the actual Han quote and when I said that I thought it was more of a Luke quote I was just referring to the "close enough" bad feeling quote. My reason being that Luke was the first character to drop the "bad feeling" line. But like I said, I worded it weird or actually, it was a lack of wording as I didn't make it clear that I wasn't talking about the exact Han quote anymore but the "bad feeling" lines in general.

And now I've managed to make it even more confusing even though I've been trying to clear it up. Anyway, that's what I get for trying to communicate with people while sick and hopped up on cold medicine.

Either way Star Wars rocks, WOT rocks, and I apologize for the tangent...not trying to highjack the thread.

11. Shanna'har- This one was found by someone who showed up in the chat and went by the name 'wilder'. As of the moment, I don't know anything further.

Does anyone think this is the true name for "Shara"? Rhuarc said even the Aiel don't think "Shara" is the real name of "Shara," because he says they always lie about its name. This could be why RJ said "Shara" would not ever be in the books. It isn't actually called Shara!!

Not sure what happened to my multi-quote, but whatever...

2. The Pattern Groans. Again, I'm with the majority, has to be about the repercussions from Rand's balefiring Graendal's palace. Could be a Graendal POV, or one of the other Forsaken. Or a third party, does the groan impact Rand's (or one of the other's) ta'veren status? Though it could be the pattern weakening (and a groan before a break?) from the DO's touch.

I agree here, but I want to also add what I believe as a possible repercussion we may see the RETURN of Asmodean. There have been many theories flying about over 'who killed Asmodean?', and the story sort of gleaned over it and continued without much explanation about the who (although we all know it will get revealed at some stage.).

In bullet point form:

-I for one believe it to be Graendal who killed Asmodean

-Graendal has many messengers and the like under the power of compulsion running around the world

-She will have also killed quite a few people around and about.

-Rand obliterating her with balefire in such a spectacular way is likely to burn her thread from the pattern to such a large extent that it will undo ALL of these misdeeds (and possibly even more!!!)

-Because such an influencial person (/thread) in history has been removed from the pattern, it is likely that this is where the stress on the pattern is.

tldr: Asmodean will be back soon! :)

Shara was what popped to my mind when I read Shanna'har--mainly because there are so many 'sh' related words... Shara, Shamara, Shibouya, Sh'boan and Sh'botay. Which ain't necessarily the best basis, but it did immediately pop up.
