So why did I test Danya the first night?

 

Several reasons. Initially I had no idea whatsoever who might be a werewolf. It's hard to tell when everyone piled onto one target so fast and another person got assassinated at night. Strange stuff tends to happen on day one; people are only just getting into the game. Can't rely on anything anyone says. Also, I didn't know most people well at all, so I couldn't judge who was acting like their normal selves and who looked like they might be bearing a certain furry burden. On the other hand, I couldn't afford to waste an investigation, so I had to pick someone.

 

I figured that not counting myself we had 3 werewolves out of a total of 10 people ... so, basically, I rolled a dice to pick suspects. Okay, I used a spreadsheet and the =RAND function, but the effect is the same. The first person I rolled was dude, I think, which reminded me to take out me and dead people from the list. Next I rolled Danya. I checked out her posts and noticed that people had been commenting on how quiet she'd been. Suspicious? Maybe. I had very little to go on that night other than people who weren't acting like their normal selves. I got the impression she was being quite bloodthirsty too, although I didn't know whether that was normal for her, or if she was a very enthusiastic innocent, or if she might just be a werewolf. It was a 30% chance; she was acting oddly. So I decided to take a chance. I investigated Danya. Guilty.

 

Something else that interested me later on was, although the main reason I suspected you, Egwene, was because I'd dropped some seer clues and you'd gone after me like a hound from hell, that you'd had an interesting interplay with Danya. You kept commenting that Danya was being suspiciously quiet. Now I know from researching mafia games that in a team of werewolves, they often try to cover the spectrum -- a talkative one, an intermediate one, a quiet one -- and my mad theory was that your third wolf had gone totally under the radar and you were tweaking Danya to be louder to fill up the gap.

 

In hindsight, I don't know why it didn't occur to me that you could just have PMed her. The contact stood out for me when I was rereading though. You seemed to spend half your time on day one talking to or about Danya. Hence why I commented earlier that you hadn't impressed me much as a werewolf -- if I was about to find you and Danya were partners together, you'd done a poor job of hiding it.

 

On a side note, I was petrified of modly consequences on day two. Raena had said earlier that she might mod-kill people who had contributed the least. Now people who had a role, and were therefore an important part of the game, would have made certain that they were not at risk of being mod-killed. There were so few roled players that they couldn't afford to let the side down like that. Therefore the most likely people at risk of mod-kill were roleless innocents. Who benefits from the death of roleless innocents? The werewolves. At the time when modly consequences were imminent, it made me look very closely indeed at people who didn't want to pull together and vote as soon as possible.

 

I've been finding this game increasingly frustrating toward the end. I keep wanting to go for the throat because I have this information, I know who's guilty, but the more I say so the more people suspect me instead. The paranoia gets to me in a way. I'm waiting for the werewolves any minute now; a werewolf and an innocent have already voted for me, so that's two other werewolves who could vote at any time, and it only takes a few seconds for those two votes to go on. Two quick votes, I'm lynched and the game is lost. I'm pretty damn nervous. :?

And for the time being, I am changing my vote from Sirayn to 'someone yet to be named'...

 

As for hints, Sirayn, it could have been a werewolf ploy to flush out the Seer. You also talk about the Seer needing to come out rather than save him/herself... seems a little at odds with your reluctance to do just that...

Let's go back a few hours and enter Danya's fantasy world.

 

It's the beginning of day three. There are still three werewolves left. There are four villagers. If you don't lynch a werewolf tonight, you lose the game. You have a guilty verdict on a werewolf. You vote for her ... and don't reveal? You gamble the entire game on whether you can get this person lynched without revealing as seer?

 

You can see why I find this difficult to understand, I hope. Apart from the bit where I'm the real seer and I found you guilty. It's a bit hard to believe - harder than you being, say, an extremely desperate werewolf pointing the finger at the real seer who's accusing her. The fact that you can't point at a supposed werewolf other than the one who's accusing you is rather telling. :roll:

 

By the way, the day's already over. Four votes. You're lynched. The innocents make it through to day four.

oook, never mind that.. well, first of all, i'm sure that all three of the werewolfs are laughing and talking about us behind our backs, because Sirayn (on of the werewolfs) managed to claim teh title of Seer first, before I (the real Seer) had time to come foreward. I think I have figured out who the werewolfs are. Sirayn (100% sure), Angyl (50% sure) and Kaznen/Ata (about 50% there as well). I know Egwene isnt a werewolf, because she was the first one I asked to see, on the first night, and you will notice that I have never blamed her of being a werewolf, so that means that I know she isnt. but how can I know?? because I'm the Seer!

in which mather if your both wolves it doesnt mather which of you we lynch first...a inocent will die tonite anyway...however as long as we keep lynching wolves we havent lost the game...for all we know you also trying to establish egwenne for inocent in case we lynch one of you and then the other of you can say i told you so when we lynched a wolf leaving us with the "inocent" egwenne and the "seer"

 

though i do see my analyses aint apriciated and i guess i will by flying the skies again tonite..geting a lil close to your ploy wolvies?

 

cause even if i lynched angel the first time i still was picked as victim one was this because my tounge touched a sore nerve and you couldnt aford me around?

well, thank you for both acknowledging the fact that I am innocent (as far as werewolves go in any case )

 

... now convince me why I should think you innocent? It has to be said, Danya... you make a lousy defence for yourself. If you really are a villager, now would be a good time to tell me why I should believe you.

 

4 villagers, 3 werewoles....from my viewpoint, at this moment a minimum of one villager has voted for Danya... and at least one werewolf... that would indicate Sirayn is a werewolf.

having spend the last couple of hours desperately looking for clues, I will now leave my vote. It is based 100% on gut feeling and is either 100% right or 100% wrong...

 

I vote Sirayn

 

because at this moment in time the werewolves are voting Danya... at least one of them (if Ata and Sirayn where the other two) whereas if Danya was a wolf, they must be sacrificing one of their own... and I can't see that as they could win this outright...

 

I have been suspicious of Sirayn based on more than one post. Her claiming to be the Seer first is no indication... if she is a wolf she could easily proclaim my innocence as she of course would know that I am not one of them. Danya's argument is actually the better one there...

Okay, I gotta go with my gut here, and I really think Sirayn is telling the truth. Of course a werewolf is gonna come post "No, I'm the seer" after ours came out. (Sorry, Danya, just gotta go with my gut on this one.)

So... what this tells me, is that these three people are innocents (Since I know I am) and we're agreed Egwene probably is by now. (Or maybe not..I could be fooled.) So that leaves us with Danya, Demi, and Kaznen... the three werewolves

The villagers know that they have to lynch a werewolf today. After a long debate the majority decides that Danya is a werewolf and Sirayn the seer. When they drag Danya away to hang her, Sirayn starts laughing maniacally and soon the villagers know why. The villagers have made a terrible mistake. They have lynched their seer!

 

It is NIGHT.

The two remaning villagers, Angyl and TheDemigod try to escape, but it's too late. The three werewolves Sirayn, Ata and Kadere attack and kill the last villagers.

in this game of descivement how do we know that it aint you who is amongst the wolves laughing for all we know this a wolf ploy confusing us

 

it worked a lil too well even if my tipsyness yest had me almost become overclever...so i paid close attn here today...if the villagers had done some simple math they would have seen the same thing as the seer and mayor did that it was a mathematical imposibility with the standing vote counted up against the theories added not only by me but the villagers themself as it would mean at least 1 wolf was voting on its own kin...as it was the smoketheories worked and i didnt even need to cast my vote...just sit back playing reserve to step up if anything went awry

 

would love to hear the others theories on this thing throughout the game...i know i was killed cause last time around i did actualy touch a nerve and come a lil to close pointing a finger in a direction of a wolf without an aparently good enough reason
