Wombat stuck out his mirror to check around corner before moving again. Gang members were dropping like flies. He had lost his own partner a short time ago in a driveby. Now was the time for utmost caution. Pulling his gun from under his coat, he headed towards the door of his safehouse. That was a ridiculous term now. Nowhere was safe. He whistled the code to let his guards know he was coming. Nothing. He whistled again. Silence. With a curse he spun and raced down the alley. The bullet took him in the back of the head and left a crater where his face had been when it exited. His now lifeless body hit the ground and slid several feet before coming to rest.

 

Wombat, Bloods Protector, has died.

Lily fired back at the figures behind the desk. She should have known better than to come back to this hotel. The only way out was the front door. She was pinned down, low on ammo and hopelessly outnumbered. She fired again and heard a yell and curses. "Fine", she said to herself as she loaded the last of the clips into her guns, "Let's play!". She jumped up from her cover and ran at thedesk, both guns spraying lead. When she reached the desk she threw herself over and into the midstof her attackers. Bullets flew from all directions and when it was all done, Lily lay among her dead ambushers, blood bubbling from her lips as she breathed her last.

 

Lily, La Cosa Nostra Hitman, has died.
