it would make sense for either Berelain OR faile to be a DF battle for perrins alleigance - there have been several points where he has thoughts about putting faile before Rand.

 

now what about if instead of berelain it's faile and her whole family. Faile to try and stop perrin being pulled back to rand.

Turning Up as asmodean is killed so he can't be recognised as a DF by asmo. I seriously think Asmo was killed for this or similar reason, to allow a DF close to rand this makes me think it's not Rhuarc who's a DF.

A whole family of darkfriends could that even happen? Most of the darkfriends I can remember PoV's from come across as being the only one in their family that is one or that is even important in life. Thinking of that whitecloak Carridin. Most darkfriends seem to be pretty selfish and self centered, could a family support this?

I think a whole family of DF would be easily noticed where as a solo DF can hide.

Especially a whole family of darkfriends in the Borderlands, with one of them being one of the worlds greatest generals and netx in  line to the throne :P

But where have the Forsaken tried to turn Perrin or Mat? Lanfear half-heartedly tried but that was more to get at Rand then anything to do that would advantage the Shadow. Apart from that one example, I cant think of any time when the Chosen have even really cared about the other two ta`veren.

Gholam with mat, but again that seems to be a side note. I think its cause all the forsaken have ties to LTT that makes them want to one up him so they focus almost exclusively on him

It would appear that the focus has now spread to the other two ta'veren now as well. In KoD there is an attempt on both of them if I recall correctly: the fight with Mat after he leave the hell(hole?); and also doesn't poor auld Perrin get shot at with an arrow. Also Verin warns Mat that himself and Perrin are in danger to which Mat replies basically 'haven't I always been from forsaken and darkfriends' and Verin not like this.

So it looks like we will see some serious attempts on Mat and Perrin in next book, as the book will surely feature them predominantly.
