Ah, I love these things. They're just too freakin' funny. For those of you who don't know what Mad Libs are, they're a written passage with words taken out. You get a list of parts of speech that are missing without having the passage to know what's supposed to go there. You come up with words to fill in the list and it's added to the paragraph, usually result in something that makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE and it's funny as all get out!

Check it out here: http://www.madglibs.com/

My example: Be Kind

List of words needed:

Noun: Cow

Noun (plural): lips

Noun: runner

Place: The Moon

Adjective: fluffy

Noun: parka

The result:

Be kind to your Cow-footed Lips

For a duck may be somebody`s Runner,

Be kind to your Lips in The Moon

Where the weather is always Fluffy.

You may think that this is the Parka,

Well it is.

*grins* And it is... Parka!

Your turn and don't forget to share them!

I picked Romeo and Juliet: Prologue Mad Lib

NOUN Trees

PLACE Africa

NOUN pen

NOUN (PLURAL) forks

NOUN Paper

ADJECTIVE burping

VERB run

NUMBER  5

ADJECTIVE Sweating

BODY PART armpits

VERB sing

Results:

Two trees, both alike in dignity,

In fair Africa, where we lay our scene,

From ancient pen break to new mutiny,

Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.

From forth the fatal loins of these two foes

A pair of star-cross`d forks take their life;

Whole misadventured piteous overthrows

Do with their paper bury their parents` strife.

The fearful passage of their burping love,

And the continuance of their parents` rage,

Which, but their children`s end, nought could run,

Is now the 5 hours` traffic of our stage;

The which if you with sweating armpits attend,

What here shall sing, our toil shall strive to mend.

Hehehehe I love these things

ah, I love the prologue to Romeo and Juliet. My class thinks I'm nuts that I can recite it when they complain about silly stuff. *laughs*

Kinda funny with forks instead of people, though. ;)

Noun (plural)  OCEANS

Occupation  STEWARDESS

Animal (Plural)  EMUS

Place  LAUNDRY ROOM

Verb  FOSSILIZE

Noun  PAPERCLIP

In the book War of the oceans, the main character is an anonymous stewardess  who records the arrival of emus in laundry room. Needless to say, havoc reigns as the emus continue to fossilize everything in sight, until they are killed by the common paperclip.

List of words:

Adjective:  fluffy

Verb ending in "ed":  squinted

Noun (plural):  antelopes

Liquid:  butter

Noun (plural):  fungi

Famous person:  Mr. Bean

Place:  Detroit

Occupation:  monkey rehabilitator

Noun:  cheese

Nationality:  Irish

Female celebrity:  Betty White

Noun:  shoe

Female friend:  your mom

Noun (plural):  vuvuzelas

Number:  3.14159265

Adjective:  awesome

The results:

I enjoy long, fluffy walks on the beach, getting squinted in the rain and serendipitous encounters with antelopes. I really like piña coladas mixed with butter, and romantic, candle-lit fungi. I am well-read from Dr. Seuss to Mr. Bean. I travel frequently, especially to Detroit, when I am not busy with work. (I am a monkey rehabilitator.) I am looking for cheese  and beauty in the form of a Irish goddess. She should have the physique of Betty White and the shoe of your mom. I would prefer if she knew how to cook, clean, and wash my vuvuzelas. I know I’m not very attractive in my picture, but it was taken 3.14159265 days ago, and I have since become more awesome.

Picture yourself in a Cat on a river,

With Steak trees and Strawberry skies

Somebody calls you, you Purr quite Questioningly,

A girl with Spicy eyes.

Cellophane Volcanos of Red and green,

Fly over your head.

Bounce for the girl with the Room in her eyes,

And she`s gone.

Amanda in the sky with Parentheses...

Amanda in the sky with Parentheses...

Amanda in the sky with Parentheses...

Follow her down to a Line by a fountain

Where rocking horse Clocks eat Phone pies,

Everyone Antagonizes as you Smite past the flowers,

That Snuggle so incredibly high.

Newspaper Musical appear on the shore,

Waiting to take you away.

Climb in the back with your Leg in the clouds,

And you`re gone.

Picture yourself on a train in a Hallway,

With Addictive porters with looking glass Shoes,

Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,

The girl with Spicy eyes.

Amanda in the sky with Parentheses...

Amanda in the sky with Parentheses...

Amanda in the sky with Parentheses...
