I wish an "Age of Legends" series was written

Obviously by Jordan, but since that isnt possible, I would accept Sanderson also.  Maybe something that tells of the drilling of the Bore and the sealing of it by Lews Therin Telamon and the Hundred Companions.  I'm guessing there wasnt enough notes and back history left to do a full series without someone having to fill in huge gaps though.

Ultimately, I think that's what marks such a great book series.  When you want to learn more of that world, especially in times outside of the main time frame of the series.  How fascinating would it be to see what turned the Forsaken members from the Light to the Shadow?

I agree with all of the above. Also two other ideas that would be cool would be one, a couple of different books taking place during the actual events going on during the series, but focusing on different characters. Mostly secondary characters like Thom, Loial, Gawyn, etc. or even cooler through the eyes of the Forsaken or Fain or something like that. The other idea that I think would be cool would to have a series that takes place after this story, but maybe a few hundred years in the future. That would be awesome.

Unfortunately, I can't see any of it coming to fruition, but it's fun to dream.

In that vein, I think a story set in Shara over the course of the series would have been quite interesting. Alas, we know none of these stories will come to pass. At best, we could get the planned prequels and the outriggers with Mat and Tuon, nothing more.

This would be very cool.  There are constant references in the WoT to the amazing, forgotten things that the Aes Sedai of the AoL could do ... flying, etc.  Seeing some of those crazy things, and the events that lead up to the knowledge needed to create angreal, would be very neat.  I also am extremely interested in the motivations and personal lives of the Forsaken, and what brought them to make the choice that they did.

Actually another part that i would have loved to read about, would be the conquering of Seanchan by Luthar.  Just the teases about all the chaos going on over there during that time period would have been great.  Plus a POV of the aes sedai that created the adam being the last one leashed reeks of epicness.

Well we know it was jealousy over Lews Therin's wife that ultimately turned Lanfear.  and Asmeadan, I remember reading something about him turn because the Dark One promsed to bring hs family back to life.  and I'm pretty sure alot of them, like Ishmael, were just evil to begin with and turned without a second thought.
