And also, thanks for reminding us of the Karma Stump role, I actually totally forgot I saw that in the OP.  Your theories make much more sense to me now than they did when I first saw them. :D

 

Although, it seems that if the Karma Stump is a role itself, the person who has that role would have been told they have that role...?

 

So it could be Lily, but I think not, at least not with the limited amount of info we have so far on Day 1.

Lol thanks Koujin.. I knew I saw it somewhere... I wouldn't rely TOO heavily on the entire name.  I think the karma part is the main focus as far as that role.

The way I understood what they were saying is that a backup assuming the role of finder or healer or something after that role has died originally is like the role being reborn, like karma or something...

 

You know, the finder did something good, so it gets reborn (because what goes around comes around, you give something good, you get something good).

I hate early reveals. Okay, I'm actually innocent. I'm not a vanilla townie like Aemon thought. But I have a special one-shot ability to view 2 people at any point of the game. I can only view their alignments. I viewed Lily and Nae yesterday(RL of course!). Lily came up innocent but Nae came up as mafia. I've told you all I can;it's up to you what you do from there.

If I changed my vote too early it might have looked scummy. I got my results yesterday; I chose Lily because I wanted to know if she was innocent or not because I really don't want to lynch an innocent. Nae, because she's a formiddable player and I wanted to check her;and unfortunately she flipped mafia.

David has a one-time ability, he says.  That means he's expendable, so we lynch him, and if he comes up scum, yay for us, and if he comes up what he says he is, then we know who we can go after.

Because it doesn't necessarily matter at this point in the game, since there's like 20 minutes till the deadline, as I understand it.

Those are flimsy reasons, you know.  It's Day 1, you could easily have changed your vote without looking too scummy, and then if people started looking at you you could've revealed.  Because if it's a 1-shot ability, it's not like it hurts for you to be out in the open.  You'd basically just be a vanilla townie the rest of the game.

Also, it's Day 1.  We can afford to lynch an innocent Day 1.  Viewing Lily because you don't want to lynch an innocent is very thin and very silly.  If this was later in the game your reasons would hold more weight.  Right now, I'm inclined to believe that you're lying and that you're scum trying to save your butt AND cause a random modkill.

The karma stump was advertized as a new role.  I read this as 1) it's a role, and even though roles can affect more than one person, they belong to one person (ie. all vanilla town wouldn't be part of the stump) and 2) it's new.  We've seen backups before, so I'd think it would be more than a backup with a fancy name.

 

Personally, I think the Karma Stump is either a solo win role or a choose your faction type role rather than town or mafia.

I agree with Meesh. This information would have been a lot more plausible yesterday if you had revealed immediately. As it is, there is no way we can get the votes changed to lynch Nae. On the other hand, we will see if you flip innocent or scum. If you are innocent, we can lynch Nae tomorrow. If you flip scum, yeah town.

but what if David's role could only work on day 1, then he wouldn't have a choice, and seeing as he was about to be lynched he might as well reveal what he knew before it was too late + if he had revealed earlier then he might have been NK. i have to admit it was sort of weak, but it might have been his role that made it that way rather than his game play
