Cadsuane and Sorilea are the same age?

Cadsuane says she believes Sorilea may be her age.

 

Isn't Cadsuane 200?

Wise Ones also live to be very old, and we know that Sorilea is very old.

Cadsuane is 295 (though she may be 296 by now). As for her comment, Cadsuane was judging her based on the way she acted, so its inherently flawed--additionally Cadsuane is still under the mistaken impression that she is as old as a channeler can live to be.

 

Sorilea is very weak in the Power, but unbound by the Oaths. Where she Aes Sedai she would have been dead long since, but unbound... she could be as old as Cadsuane, or even older. It's uncertain.

Well said Luckers.  I always assumed that Sorilea was even older than Cadsuane.  I am not certain how MUCH older she is based on the 1/X formula that RJ gave us.  She IS extremely weak in the power.  But I still just envision her to be like 325-350 years old.

 

On a side note, I always loved Sorilea's character.  Hopefully we continue to see more of her in the books to come.  And I hope she has a major role to play in TG.

Since she's so extremely weak, I'd guess she isn't as old, or even older, than Cadsuane. I mean, if the average age of non-bound channelers is about 400-500 years, and Sorilea is way below the average strength, she shouldn't be older than Cadsuane. But I suppose she might be; we just don't know.
