Well damn - I had cleared Pete the previous night too. I hit another innocent last night folks, so square one it is.

 

From Pete's post, it sounds like perhaps his role was a solo win role, though I'd like to hear from pookie. Somehow I imagine she is sworn to mod-inflicted secrecy but you never know.

 

I keep second guessing myself. If we don't find scum today, I'm going with my instincts tonight in choosing my target :P.

As for the rest of my questions, aemon and verb have posted without answering what they knew though they both claimed prs.

 

The rest of us might help Lav by stating who our top suspects are and why... of course that might be too old school for most of you. Let me know what you think.

I doubt a godfather given the complexity already in play and with the number we started with it hardly seems likely. That said, tossing that possibility out while ostensibly trying to argue for your self seems off.

 

why counsel me to stay optimistic? there are several things wrong atm that no one seems to see. is it me being observant, paranoid, others not playing? some i've mentioned, others held back. one in particular should be grabbing anyone who knows how mafia capitalize on finder results. There is something I don't see...

The reason why I haven't had any input is because I have no clue.  I would like to know why Aemon is so hard up on Jeran.  Other than that, I really don't know.  I figure why try to make something out of nothing and just add more for people to read when it wouldn't be helpful at all?

think about this, info is the town's friend. How often do townies refuse to post their hunches out of mistrust of each other? How often does the mafia win?

Alys, the last time I did what you are suggesting that Tigs do, you Nae DPR, Pete and Quibby jumped all over me about being just a "fluff" post with no worthwhile content aimed only at trying to look like I was contributing something. Why do you think I hardly post in this game anymore? If you don't remember when that was, look back at the fight with Nae on day 2. That's when it all started.

That said, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. You can't expect for everyone to always agree with you. At some point someone is going to disagree with everyone. If it isn't happening, you aren't playing. And if your feelings get hurt because people don't like your ideas... How many people have disliked mine in this game?? I don't stop because I want to help. Nae's big girl panties comment comes to mind.

Comments like that make me think you were recruited. There is no game merit to it and I think you only said it to get a rise out of me. If I had the smallest hint of recruiting going on in this game I'd vote you right now.

Come to think of it, nobody has even broached the subject of a godfather type figure in the game. I honestly believe that you and Wes have done more in conjunction to lead us down dead-end relic conversations and away from things we should have been talking about than anyone else in the game. Wes also turned out to be scum. Where does that leave us?

Sure. If I wanted a rise out of you, I would certainly have bluntly said, "Man up." That is what you did on night 2 that led to the fight between Nae and I and you agreed it was pointless. Now, if it is pointless, why ask people to do it? Is it because you enjoy causing conflict? I have been trying to win this for the town since day one and all you have done is derail every attempt at logical conversation because you want to talk about the relics which we aren't allowed to talk about. You are probably the mafia godfather and Jeran is probably the last of the cultists. I kknow everyone is going to want to lynch me now, but I think you've been strnging us along the whole game.

I see what you are saying Alys, that if nobody says anything when they don't have much to contibute then it would be a dull game.  However, I also agree with Aemon on the point of when you do just make a "well this person rings suspicious to me just because of this little reason" then everybody jumps on you like white on rice.  It's a catch 22.  Damned if you do, damned if you don't. 

 

I don't take these games personal at all, because I have had to attack someone that I like a lot, just to get them to screw up.  I would hope that everyone else looks at it like I do and think, "hey, IT'S JUST A GAME...MAKE BELIEVE."

The rest of your post strikes me as odd.  Doubt all you like it still a possibility that there is a Godfather.  If you have a Cthulu related reason why there can't be then I might agree with you more as I don't know anything about the Cthulu world.

 

I don't really feel like I am locked in a battle trying to defend myself such that that is all I can post about.  Aemon's argument (such as it is) has been stated more than once and my counter-argument has been stated more than once.  No one seems to be buying it either.

 

Would you rather I did not toss out possibilities and just be quiet?  I know you don't want people to be quiet so why say that about me tossing out an idea.  I think it is a valid point (even if it is wrong).

Jeran, I like that you tossed out an idea, but that does not mean I have to agree with it or that you have to forget about it. Godfathers are usually the head of the mafia, correct? Most useful with a dual team and/or recruiting element? There does not appear to be a recruiting element here. There was a rez element, and both rez's were innocent. And it appears the rez factor could have been from a relic (omg, kill me now! I said relic again...) not a dual team.

 

That said, there may be more survivors out there. In that case, I we can choose to doubt Lav since she appeared to have thought Pete was innocent, or we can assume he was a solo. And finally we could assume there is a survivor team of some two or three and we have killed all mafia and the vessel. Anyone think of more options here?

 

Basically, I doubt it by following game building reasoning and occam's razor based on what we have seen. I could have a different idea of this than Kivs though. IMO, Not likely for mafia teams to be so uneven, so I prefer relic over team. I prefer lone survivor solo over Lav lying based on in thread evidence. Getting the pic?

 

Aemon, your post basically said you had stopped posting because you had been jumped on and didn't like it. That's pretty equivalent to saying it was too harsh. Also, despite my disagreeing with everyone here about the relics, I have no help and stopped trying to gain it before we killed Wombat, so go bark up another tree. And if it is a crime to believe the game set up... Like I said, kill me.
