I viewed FDM last night.  She's not the arsonist.  Sorry, scum, you need to keep me alive a bit longer.

Nope.  Look at my words carefully.  She is not the arsonist.  She was, however, the arsonist until I found her  ;D

 

Here's another quote to make it clearer:

 

For whatever it's worth, I don't think Wombat is picking up Alys' whole message.  FDM is one of the few people in this game who I'm certain is innocent.  My only concern, entering last night, was that she was the arsonist.  Now that I know she is not the arsonist, I won't be voting for her.

 

1) Alys' whole message - read the "Far, Far, Far" post again.  Note she mentioned the Kivam Gambit in that paragraph?  The whole message was "Kivam, check FDM" - so I did.

 

2) Note the descriptions.  I didn't say that my concern, entering night two, was that she might be the arsonist; because at that point in Day 3 I knew that she was the arsonist  ;D.  Again, once I found her, she was no longer the arsonist; just a roleless townie.

 

3) Note that nobody else died when FDM did.  Has anyone else claimed firefighter?  So . . . why hasn't anyone else died?

 

4) Note that according to Pale, FDM was supposed to die during night 4.  Remember how I said I'd be absolutely confirmed as the firefighter Day 5?  That's why - I knew the arsonist would be dead, without any collateral damage.

 

That said, there was one thing I lied about - that the scum needed to keep me alive.  Any guesses why I might do that?  ;D

 

 

I wondered something with that with his certainty that Lily and FDM are/were innocent.  He did mention way back who it was he checked already.  Maybe he got more than "they are not the arsonist"? (or in FDM's case.. that she was)

 

This.  Unfortunately, that ended when Alys died  >:(  That's also the reason I intimated that I had looked at Tynaal night 1 (though I never said it straight out); I had planned on releasing names, but once I got the confirmation that Lily was innocent, I didn't want to release her name too early.

 

Wes - for Jailkeeper you gave us role powers.  Could you tell us what the powers of the Traitor were? Oh, and the Arsonist?  ;D

Alys also said that she wasn't completely sure that Kivam was innocent. She put faith in him but she wasn't certain. We have 2 Liars and we're thinking about letting them live? Pale has lied multiple times and Kivam was just caught in a big lie as well (albeit with a *plausible* theory, which is convenient).

I don't think there is a mafia exactly (Except Rey was mafia)...I know it sounds weird..so I think maybe there are only a few mafia. And the rest are SK's. Ever since she said hinted and said there are no teams...it is the only thing I can think of. :-\

Rey being mafia cut off my original theory of saying there is no mafia at all. But maybe they just don't get to talk to each other....

The reason I didn't want to say that before FDM died is nobody would believe me - "wait, you're claiming to be the finder, too?  I thought you were the arsonist!"  Hell, I'd have lynched anyone making that type of claim myself - way too overpowered.  That's why I needed to wait for Day 5, when the arsonist's death, and the subsequent role details, would confirm I was innocent - and therefore, implausible as it may seem, telling the truth about getting a finder result on Lily.  (See my response to Nae earlier in the thread)

Specifically Barm - 3rd or so post in the thread and he starts; his post had me alternately laughing and crying a little inside. You're up to something without a doubt - and disguising what ever it is well. You have power i just can't work out whether you're using it for good or evil :P

Barm is up to something i just don't know what. I honestly think he has come out all guns blazing to cover something, but it could just as easily (and in some ways more logically) be a powerful town role. I may be off but i will be very surprised if Barm is something innocuous like, say, the Tree stump.

Oh and the one role that jumps out to me from your list Alys is Traitor - given the nature of the game, it seems a purpose built role. So i'd be a little suspicious of anyone you are allowed to communicate off thread with.

Yes, she's acting defensively (but then, she was accused). However, she's not a player to fall apart if someone throws an accusation against her. Whoever it was that mentioned this may be WIFOM, there is a chance this is intentional but i would doubt it. Far too likely to back fire.

 

Panda's obviously gone on the offensive here; the question is, genuine belief or just trying to stir the pot and get day 1 over with? Or, is it team play with those that originally kicked off the whole thing... Reyoru?

 

I reckon the offensive on Nae looked like stalling, and then Panda jumps in to kick it up again. Similarly, the only person in favour of the mass reveal (besides Kiv) was Panda.

 

At the moment, i'm willing to accept Kiv's overwork excuse - tbh i know the feeling. However i will throw out the idea of a Kivam/CosmicPanda/Reyoru team out there. As Panda has claimed a role that may well be innocent, i'm quite hesitant to vote there, despite suspicions. Similarly, i've already stated i want Kiv staying for a bit. Therefore, that leaves unvote FDM, vote Reyoru

 

Stepping in to save Nae?  I hope not - Nae is pretty far on the "innocent" side of my radar at the moment.

Ok small suggestion folks... we're getting to 36 pages on day 1 here. Honestly, a lot of this is becoming pure guesswork - we have had no night actions. Part of me just wants consensus here so we actually have some results, and can then tie in what folks have said today with what we've got left.

 

Whilst i do not excessively want to lynch Kivam, i feel it may be an idea, as seeing most people are suspicious of Kivam + another. In the interest of getting some kind of consensus, i'm switching to him. He's made enough mistakes to legitimise the suspicions levelled against him, and although i'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, i honestly think we have had enough debate and need action.

 

Something tells me we'll be getting a deadline shortly. We can't stay on day 1 here forever. So whilst this is not either ideal or personal, unvote and vote Kivam

Next, my suspicions list :- Nae, Barm, Lavinya, Rey, Ed, Pandy. Going by Barm's logic, Nae Lavinya or Rey are up. I've still got the underlying feeling Nae is genuine for the most part, and as such, will not be voting for her tonight.

 

Which leaves Lavinya or Rey. The vote on Rey has momentum, the role revealed is easily questionable, and overall behaviour has been a little off. I had suspicions preReveal, although those were partially concerned with links to Kivam (and he is tentatively off the hook for now).

 

So yeah, Rey it is.

 

What are the odds that he listed a whole bunch of scum in one post as another signal?  Something to keep in mind

Again, what are you testing?  Whether I'm scum who happened to randomly guess A) that there was an arsonist in the game; B) that there was no other firefighter in the game; and C) the exact details of the arsonist's role?
