I would definitely say it's possible. There could be a role that deflects someone's night action to someone else. For instance, in another mafia game, I was mafia. We targeted a person to nightkill. But our action was deflected to someone else, so someone else got nightkilled.

 

But, it's possible that person (Person B) is not bad, too. Obviously, the person in the game where I was mafia was good. They deflected our nightkill.

 

Also, there could be an entirely separate person doing te deflecting. Like, there could be a Person C who tells the Mod 'I want to deflect Person A's action to Person B.' Or something.

 

Wow, I hope that wasn't too confusing ;D So, uh, got any information/suspicions you wanna share with us, Tigs?

Well sometimes a Traitor can change alignments, a Survivor can win with either side, there can be innocent/mafia lover pairs, etc.

 

What you're describing sounds a little like an amnesiac cop.

Anyway, if this hypothetical person were worried about information falling into the wrong hands, this person should remember that the mafia already know who is in the mafia, so they have some insight into determining which claims are and which are false.  Townies can of course lie, but except in certain situations, it is best for townies to tell the truth.

Well here goes!  I'm gonna go ahead and tell everything...which I basically already have. I am a Seeker-Finder Variant (Every night I send in a quote and the results are passed onto someone else) About two hours ago I got to thinking about the people that I have turned in and looked at the opening page and saw that at least 2 of them were night killed.  It could be a coincidence but I was beginning to wonder if when I send in a quote if the mafia is getting the information and revealing too much to them.  I will tell everyone that I turned in if everyone thinks it's necessary.

Hmmm. If your notes are getting turned into the mafia, I don't know that it would make much of a difference in the nightkills. I mean, like someone else said, the mafia knows who is innocent and who isn't. So, if someone claims finder, the mafia can assume that person is telling the truth. Because likely the only person that would claim finder and be lying would be a mafia.

So, is it possible Shadowkiller was the Listener you were connected to? But then, does that just mean no one gets the results of the quotes? Or is it more likely there is another Listener out there, who is getting these results?

 

Tigs, I think it's more likely that an innocent is getting the results, but it could be a mafia. But, for instance, Tynaal and Lia getting killed...Tynaal was obviously the Healer, someone they would want dead. And Lia had hinted strongly enough at her role that it was easy to figure out who she probably was.

 

Btw, I think you picked a good time to reveal. Now that it's getting close to endgame, reveals can actually help a lot.

It doesn't make sense to me for information to flow from Seekers to Listeners.  Reveals can be very helpful this late, but false roleclaims can be very damaging.  I'm not sure what I think of this roleclaim.
