Slowly she closes her eyes and can feel herself relax. Her breathing slows to a steady pace as she can feel her mind drifting into that other World where reality and dream combine.

She takes a step, and then another. After that second step she fells grass under her feet and looks down. She is standing in a meadow. In the distance she can see storm clouds looming. She can hear the roll of the thunder as the storm races towards her.

She starts walking. Her steps seem like bounds and in a matter of seconds she is in front of the storm. As the winds whips, blowing dust, a man walks out of the turmoil...

Ok it is your turn to continue the story! This is your story. It can have twists and turns, new characters, plots and schemes, what ever you want feel free to add. The final post will be by one of the Reds and we all will discover if Tel'aran'rhiod is indeed a dream or nightmare.

.... The dust clouds obscure the mans features, she is unable to recognize his face. Slowly he walks towards her, his cloak billowing in the fury of the storm behind him. Suddenly he stops and peers out towards the storm. A rumble of thunder rolls over the once serene meadow and she sees ....

... a structure rising from the ground in the hazy blurr where the storm raged. It rose slowely, black against the dark of the storm, it's spiralling towers casting every growing shadows eventhough there was no sunlight able to penetrate the howling clowds. Lightening flashed in rappid succession and shadows emerged and dissapeared with the rythm of each flash. Her heart raced through her veins as the black tower rose ever further into the sky, piercing through the clowds hanging low, draping themselves around it as though they were carressing it. The man stood motionless, the only thing moving about him his cloak, as he looked at the building's outline, now looming over the two of them. A creaking sound shot out from the heart of the storm, followed by the sound of rusty chains being drawn up on a wheel. At the front of the building a gate opened. Slowely it rose up into the slot in the wall above it and as it opened a red eery light flowed out from the gaping mouth of the tower. Spreading it's glow over the ground towards them, as a carpet inviting them in.

The woman took a step back, fear beating at her from every direction.

The man took a step forward, unaware that he had.

A figure appeared in the doorway....

The figure raised its arm and pointed straight at her heart. "You! Come here." It said. Even though she did not want to she could feel her feet being drawn to the figure. Beside her the man was walking also. He turned and looked at her and smiled. She realized that he was not who she thought he was. His teeth were pointed and a forked tongue flicked between his lips. His eye glowed a soft red that made her shiver to look. As she looked back at the figure in front of her she realized that it also had the soft red glowing eyes. The figure started to speak...

"We have waited long for one of your kind to come our way. Enter!"

She moved forward, through the doorway, and into the red glow. She did not want to. Her face was a mask of terror. But she could not stop herself.

Once inside, she looked around and was surprised by the furnishings. They were....

the next thing she knew, she awoke in a large, well-furnished bedroom. She was alone. She was lying on a huge canopy bed, there was a table with a pitcher of wash water and a basin, a pitcher of cool, clear drinking water and a crystal goblet on the nighttable by the bed, and a red velvet window seat. Strangely, there were thick iron bars on the window.

She arose and still not quite steady, made her way to the door, only to find it locked!

Beating on the door she screamed, and sobs of terror arose from her throat. Frantically she tried to exit the dream but found herself barred not only in this room, but the whole world of dreams. A cold wind whipped through her new apartments blowing out the light of the torches. All was dark in the room, and she could see a feint red light glow from under the bed. Along with the light, the air seemed to pulse with vibrations that were almost palpable. She new this was only the beginning and she knew what she must do. She lifted the deep red velvet dust ruffles under her bed, and she worked her way under the bed to find...

A dark hole in the floor. As she tumbled down and down she saw her past flashing before her. Images of her childhood and later her adult life streamed past her. Just as she saw the last image of her falling through the hole under the bed she hit the floor with a thud. She carefully stretched each arm and both legs to be sure nothing was damaged. She looked around and saw she was...

surrounded by a fluorescent white mist in all directions. The glow seemed to be a part of and coming from the mist itself. Or the mist came from the glow. The woman could not be sure.

Despite the brightness of the place, she was uneasy.

Stretching her arm in front of her, she felt nothing, and tentatively took a step straight ahead. As she moved, she heard a woman's voice that sang the words,...
