You think they have anyone other than Cliff Lee that can be dependable?  Hamels has been shaky and Pedro is old.... Blanton is unpredictable...  I guess they could muscle their way past everyone, but the other teams remaining are pretty bat heavy too.

Sadly I think the Yankees will win it all. I am hoping the Dodgers find a way to pull it out vs. the Phillies.

I grew up a Yankees fan and have adopted the Phillies as my second team since I live in Philly.  So I hope for Yankees/Phillies series and who ever wins will make me happy. 

 

What about last night's game against the Dodgers?  The Phillies offense looks awesome!

The Phillies have good batters.

 

Phillies won't have a prayer against the Yanks.  Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels are good pitchers (though Hamels looks lost this year) but Pedro Martinez?  Joe Blanton?  Really?

 

And that bullpen is unsightly.

 

Bottom line - the Yanks are ridiculous this year.  Sabathia, Burnett and Petite, with a 7th/8th/9th pen of Joba, Hughes and Rivera is just filthy.

Joba and Hughes have been hittable this year as starters, though in the bullpen, youlre right, they become filthy.  A Red Sox fan can hope though.

Red Sox fan here.  Great games today-Angels pulling out the walkoff in the 11th, plus the Phillies pulling out the walkoff with 2 outs in the 9th-unbelievable! I'm really hoping the Angels can pull out the upset over the Yankees and take the Series.

How do you see them cpming back from this deficiet?  Their bullpen has been horrendous throughout the series, and their starters haven't been much better.  Whereas the Yankees pretty much have it all going right now.
