Can't remember which of the books it is, but there is a quote "Nyn won't be happy until she heals someone 3 days dead."  I am not a big believer of coincidence with this book series.  Too much emphasis has been put on the fact that death can't be healed.  Just like stilling could not be healed.

Question... wasn't there some battle in the flesh with Mog and Nyn and maybe Elayne? Didn't Mog start turning someone into a cat or some other animal by willing it to be so in TAR? Seems like the kind of place that you could really see your self having 2 hands in anyways and then just leave in the flesh with it.

No, you can not make physical changes that lasts when you leave T'A'R. With the exception of ripping someone completely out into the real world, like Moghedien did with Birgitte, but that is a very different thing.
