Why not, just like Phariah mentioned - quote below - That these are they type of person who would enter TOG. Now if you look at it this way, they took certain memories/sensations/emotions, and then discarded those that they did not want and you could possibly end up with what mat got..

Yes... but don't forget the people who entered through the doorways.  We know some people entered the Eelfin (fox)doorway due to the human skin / leather straps they were wearing. We also know that the Aelfin (snake) doorway was at least being used by the leaders of Mayene.

After all, we have not seen the slightest hint of mat having the memories of any Aiel in his head, and Aiel would have been the only ones with access to the Eelfinns doorway.

Fair and good point.  But, we still ahve the Snake / Aelfin doorway.

We don't know whether the Aelfinn doorway was in use at the time Mat's memories are from. Mayene certainly didn't exist at the time.
