[TV] Defying Gravity - ABC

Did anyone catch this series premiere last night?  I didn't remember it aired, but just caught it on Hulu today.

It started slow, but then found a possibly intriguing Sci-Fi stride.  I watched it on my little computer screen and was moved by a few of the beautiful space scenes, so I can only imagine that it is 30 times better with a proper HD tv.  I just hope it can find a nice balance between the sci-fi and drama.  It's billed as a thriller, so it could be good if they do it right.

Saw it...Loved it...It will probably get cancelled if past experience is anything to go on.  Dale and I both were riveted last night though while watching it on DVR.  We originally were just gonna watch the pilot and then i was going to go to bed and we HAD to watch the 2nd episode after getting to the end of the 1st one.

They need to get to the whole mystery thing fairly quickly though...I'm very impatient.

Is anybody still hanging in on this one?  I've been half watching because the cinematography is just beautiful, but the story has only had me half hooked.  Until I just saw this week's episode.  I'm all in now.  I've gotta know what everyone's dirty little secret is!

Ok... here I go...

I have a big ass TV.  I like to watch things on it.

My computer is MUCH smaller than my TV.

So I don't quite enjoy watching things on my computer.

Yeah I am old fashioned like that.

Your big tv can be hooked up to your PC with a cord that you can buy at best buy or online. (online is 100x cheaper)

While I honestly believe that Defying Gravity should be watched on a Big Ass TV in HD. I have neither, so it really doesn't matter whether I watch on my TV or my computer screen.  And Hulu isn't Perfect quality, but it's just as good as non-HD TV quality. At least for some shows it is.

But Defying Gravity is the first show that I feel I'm missing out for not having a huge HD TV.

Also, don't forget Netflix!  If you have a Netflix subscription, you can probably stream this show right onto your TV.

Well, when I watched it on Hulu the quality was just as good as on my HDTV. Its a misnomer to believe that HDTV = better quality then PC. PC has had access to 'HD content' for far longer than TV has. ;) Course

Netflix only has the 1995 or 97' show defying gravity, not the new one. (just looked it up).

That's good to know about the quality on pc.  I'm watching it on my macbook, so it's a tiny screen, but it still looks spectacular!

Maybe Netflix will have it after the season is over.  I think they carry some of the super popular series immediately after air date, but maybe not the lesser established ones.

Well they have it on netflix just not instant watch.  Actually they don't do instant watch on many of their current shows unless it is already on demand.

They don't even really do that anymore either.

Some shows they were trying to do that for like heroes. But they got lazy and stopped updating them. They got issues between them and ABC/FOX/NBC/ect.

Ok Beta is the same thing that is the Pulp Fiction briefcase...

I really like this show.

Pulp Fiction Briefcase?

Also, are you sure its Beta and not Theta? I couldn't tell...

If its beta, that leaves alpha and omega...

Have you seen Pulp Fiction?

When they open the case it glows yellow as well.  We never find out what is in it.

Yea I've seen it, I just don't remember any brief case...

At all.

Maybe its cut out on the TV version? I've only ever seen it on TV, not on DVD....

It was the whole reason the two hit men went to the apartment and shot those boys up.  It was opened twice in the movie.  They did not cut it.

Aww, I remember the  part in the diner, but not the one in the house with the brief case. It must have been of so little significance that I didn't really think much about it.

Sinister, it was a major part of the movie.  As you can see people have been analyzing what was in the case since the movie came out.

Anyway, you can see where my compare comes in.  Open the door and bright gold light.  I am ready to know what is in Pod 4.
