I've just come across the news that the adaptation of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, The Legend of the Seeker is coming to the UK. About time!

It premieres on the Sci Fi Channel on Thursday 13th August 2009, as a double bill (like the US), starting at 8pm, with the second episode at 9pm. It is also available in HD. Now my Thursday are complete, as I can ogle Bridget Regan...ah, pure bliss!  8)

I found this out on the official TG website, where I am a member.

I'm not happy about this, mainly because I loathed (no offense to those of you who liked it) the series

It was good for about 3 books, then the plot of 4 through 9 was pretty much the exact same, then 10 was interesting again, and the 11th and last book sucked ballsily

The TV series is bland but okay if you can get past the atrocious two-hour pilot, cringe-inducing fight scenes and cliched dialogue. It does have swordfights, magic and Bridget Regan's cleavage, which I award five stars. I stopped watching at the (appalling) twelfth episode.

and Bridget Regan's cleavage

My Saturday nights are complete due to this simple fact:  Bridget Regan is awesome.  I don't even care if the fight scenes look to have been choreographed by a child.  I don't care that the dialogue is juvenile at best.  I don't even care that the show doesn't quite fit the series properly.  I just stare at Kahlan.  Oh, and the actress that played Denna was excellent.

Just wanted to begin and end the post on a high note.  ;D

I watched about 30 minutes of the pilot and stopped because they killed the book.  I figured if they couldn't get a few simple things right like the what the book of shadows was, then there was no way they would get the Mord-Sith right and they were the best part of the first book imo.
