A New Mordeth?

Mordeth was/is corrupt without being a darkfriend.

Since his and Fain's merge, Fain also turned on both sides.

Both descriptions might soon describe Masema (if he has not become so already).

Taim might be another candidate.

Fain/Mordeth is the way he is because of his travels, I find it very unlikeley that Masema or Taim would ever travel that road.  Besides, it is way too late to add another plot line that is not needed to forward the story.  Masema and Taim will cause enough problems without going to be distilled.  They are nothing at all like Fain, and they never will be.

The point I was trying to make is that Masema and/or Taim might soon become like Mordeth if something does not happen to them, not that another plot line be added.

Masema being more likely than Taim.

Yes, it's very plausible that two people who are very unlike Mordeth might end up like Mordeth if nothing happens to them. Nothing at all is usually a good catalyst for change.

  • 2 weeks later...

Masema or Taim I think might soon become corrupt in a similar manner as Mordeth
Why?

Masema because he has acted against both the Shadow and the Light.

Taim because we know that he acted against the Light and might also be acting against the Shadow.

mordeth = used darkfriend tactics to hunt out darkfriends

Masema = used darkfriend tactics to force dedication to the dragon in doing so spreading madness (sounds like the army of Andorhal when Moraine tells the story of how armies would rather see hordes of trollocs march onto the field than the armies of Andorhal

Andorhal?  Do you mean Aridhol?
