ok, that subject line was bloody corny.

 

anyway, i am from india, and i have to say, this website kicks ass. ive never found a site for wot with such amazing and knowledgeable fans. i MEAN it :). about me: hmm, i like very few tv shows that come now, the one i like most is the big bang theory, i guess my fav. ones are friends and coupling. I am not soo much into movies, i watch only those with good reviews ;). I love heavy metal, esp. iron maiden, judas priest, black sabbath, i also love progressive metal, esp. Dream Theater, Blotted science etc.

 

i haven't really met a lot of wot fans in school, as i know the situation, there are 3 ( and yeah, that was 3) its really sad. and one of those 3 introduced me to wot. Ive been reading it since last year. I am almost done with KoD. I cant bloody get enough of it.

No, you should of seen mine, it was like 3 or 4 paragraphs wall of text, but that is because I am a Roleplayer and novice sci-fi writer so I tend to talk alot.

 

I know what you mean though, about there not being many wot fans at schools, I got hooked my third year of middleschool (the school was 6-8th grade) by my Language Arts teacher who was the largest WOT/WoW/Science fiction nerd I met (Until I came here that is). It was actualy during a course on diffrent writing styles, and we read the first chapter of EoTW. But all this is beyond the point, since this is your introduction and not mine.

 

Anyway, the forums here (As you might know) are filled with good WoT stuff, (Especially the DRPSW)and there are tons of people willing to talk about it. But there is much more to the forums then just the WoT stuff, we talk about alot of things on the General forums, though a word to the wise stay away from the political discussions they never get anywhere.

 

The Orgs are also a good place to check out, they host alot of stuff from music to outdoors stuff (BoTRH and Wolfkin are the examples I just gave) and they are filled with friendly people who enjoy meeting fresh meat...I mean new people  ;) .

 

But if you are feeling like the writing type, head over to Rev One or the divisions to see if you are interested in the Role Playing side of the site, it is always worth a look see and you never know what you might find.

 

Anyway, I have done a long enough wall of text dont you think? So again welcome, and have fun storming the mount  ;D.

Thanks for good words about DM. *G* Warms my heart ;) Now, take your time getting around places. Its can seem pretty big at first, but... once you get to know the site more, it will come into perspective. ;)

 

So what is your favorite group in the WoT? Seanchan? The Band of the Red Hand, the Ogier? Maybe the Warders?? Perhaps a Novice? *pst* (you can be a brother in the White Tower, over here and join an Ajah) We have some really tough dudes as Aes Sedai. *nods*

I know the feeling of not having many fellow fans of WoT to hang out with in real life.  In my five years of being a fan, I have found one (1) person in real life (not family) who was also a fan.  It's a bummer.  But no worries, you're with fellow fans now.

 

Take a peek around the ORGs, ask questions, make yourself known!  But have fun, and it all works out. :)

Hee, it's always nice to have a 'support group' of fans, I find.  My mother got my sister into the books, and she in turn confirmed that this wasn't one of Mom's crappier suggestions.  Suffices to say, I'm more hooked in it than either of them, and spent my military years being the WoT information booth for the other reader geeks on my compound. *grins*
