I expect everyone to vote with their conscience, their gut and their brains. At the moment I'm voting with my gut as I don't really see any good evidence against anyone. I still suspect Mynd however turn around's fair play so [glow=red,2,300]unvote, vote Catina[/glow] not only for voting against me, but also for the sake of a majority as well as the fact I haven't really trusted you and all your wish-washiness this entire game.

Hmmm......this is most interesting.  All flattery aside (thanks Catina  :P ) I am not sure who to believe here, I find the last two posts quite intriguing. Read them carefully again before continuing.  Let me start off with [glow=red,2,300]UNVOTE[/glow].  (Verbal, you're not off the hook bro.....but I think we have a better case against one of two other players right now.)

 

......i am nothing more than a roleless innocent brown ajah.  i have no power other than to use my brains to figure out who is the black ajah before its too late.  if you lynch me you would be lynching an innocent.

 

First, Catina.  Right now, Liathiana's (sp?) vote on Catina brings it to three and we need 6 total for a successful lynch.  I could go with the bandwagon and see where that takes us, but we cannot afford to be wrong about her.  What about her reveal?  My initial reaction was that a roleless innocent is the easiest role to reveal since there are more than one to claim.....much different than two people claiming finder or healer.  We've already lost a Brown Ajah anyway.  Sure, there could be more than one; but it is likely that Catina is "revealing" to save her own skin.  Why did she wait until now to reveal with three votes on her?  I still think she may be in leauge with Verbal and the two of them are plotting their moves with an as of yet unrevealed third party.

...but let's take a look at our good friend Liathiana here.  A bit more active in this game than she has in the past and suddenly votes Catina not merely because of the majority but more so because Catina first voted for her.  Catina also points out that Miss L's stubborn refusal to lift her vote on me, the Power Blocker, makes her look conspicuous.  If she was truly going with the majority, wouldn't she have done it before Catina's vote?  This kind or reactionary voting just reeks of mafia.

 

And now for my third theory.  The writing is on the wall about Catina, so Liathiana votes her fellow mafia player to look innocent early enough that it doesn't look like desperate bandwagoning.  They likely have at least three if not four mafia players total so they have one to spare.  Not quite the ledgendary Kivam's Gambit, but similar in pathology.  If Catina is revealed as mafia, anyone who voted for her would likely be presumed innocent.  Remember, Catina still wins with the mafia if they win even if she is lynched!

 

So, how is Verbal gonna vote?  Who he chooses now could very well reveal his true alignment.

 

Also, I hate to say this but if the Finder survives tonight, I think we may wish to consider a reveal, especially if you have found at least one mafia player.  My Power Blocking has either a 1/3 or a 1/4 chance of blocking the night kill, depending on how many mafia are there.  Also, if those whom you have already confirmed risk a lynch (like Catina, Verbal, or Liathiana) please speak up before we lose another innocent. 

 

We cannot afford to get this vote wrong......I look forward to hearing from Catina, Liathiana, Verbal, and the Finder before the deadline.  Masons, what are your thoughts?  Should we go ahead with Catina anyway?

I dunno if the finder should reveal just yet or not.  I understand your wanting them to view one of us but I hope they view/viewed you.  It would be nice to know for sure if you are who you say.

On the Finder revealing:  Its definately a risk in that they would be the next likely target for a night kill.  I can't say for certain that I will pick the right player, let alone mafia, to block the night kill.  Depending on how much information they have already obtained, they may want to hold off until they spot a mafia to reveal. I'm pretty sure about the mason's three, but only as much as you guys are of me.  It would be helpful to know who the finder has found up to this point.  It would stink if they kept finding people who ended up dead. 

 

Finder, I'd say if at least two of the players you have found are still in play, you probably should reveal.  We whould be able to find the rest of the mafia by process of elimenation.  There could also be a role thief out there, which would be the same as finder.

Currently, we are at 11 players.  There could be as many as 4 mafia, likely since this game had intended to have 16 players total.  1/4 is a pretty reasonable ratio of goodies to baddies.  Therefore, with 4 mafia, then that leaves 7 of us who are innocent.  Myself and the three Masons make up four, leaving three....one of which is our finder.

 

So, I propose the following for us....

 

1) Let's let the lynch on Catina go through.  She's been guilty looking enough in this game, and just agreeing with my wild rantings as it has been called is very questionable.  Besides, she has been called wishy washy more than once this game.  If she turns up as she claims, a roleless innocent, then what does that tell us?  If she is mafia.....well then HOORAY!

 

2) We lynch Lianthiana as Catina suggested.  If she turns up innocent, we really don't get any information.  If she turns up mafia, then we not only get our first Mafia kill but we also have something to read into her previous actions.  Besides, the two of them could be pulling a watered down version of Kivam's Gambit.  Just because one turns up mafia doesn't let the other off the hook.

 

3) Lynching an inactive, like Cairos or Krugster.  It doesn't tell us much from a voting standpoint, but isn't it odd that the night kills have all been active players?  If I was mafia, I would have whacked Cairos on day one.  Isn't it possible that at least one of them is mafia?  .....but isn't it also possible that one of them is our  beloved finder?  Do we wanna risk it?  If our Finder is one of the inactives, I'm gonna lose my mind. 

 

I have decided that our best course of action is to vote [glow=red,2,300]Catina[/glow] off the island.  Out of everyone in the game, she is admitted to be the least valuable to us alive and we would gain the most information if she were to be lynched.  Sorry Catina.....I sure hope you are mafia.

Well I have finally managed to read through and catch up on everything (I hope I read everything right I am a little tired right now  :( ) After reading through I think [glow=red,2,300]Catina[/glow] is mafia, and so she has my vote.

Look, I realized my vote for Mynd wasn't a smart move. I'm so sorry for using my brain. I would rather we didn't have a randomn lynch and thus my vote for Catina, considering what everyone has said so far and the fact she seems so wish-washy. If that all looks suspicious, so be it :)

Well, we aren't at Endgame just yet.  If there are 4 mafia players in the game, Catina could be innocent and we are still in ok shape.  Granted, we are minus one healer and vigilante...but we still have our Finder and Me. I suggest that the Finder take a look at Liathiana tonight.  She could still be mafia even if Catina turns out to be mafia as well.  Let's hope she is!

Reading back through, I came upon an interesting point...there was a delay in the reporting of night actions....Possibly indicating an inactive player....unfortunately that role could be Finder, or it could have been those killed(Healer, Vigilante).  Something to keep in mind as we move forward.

Accusations flew thick and fast as the remaining Aes Sedai travelled at pace to Tear. Myndrunner Sedai was particularly eloquent, although heated opposition did occur. However, swayed by her arguments, the Aes Sedai overwhelmingly decide that Catina Sedai is actually of the Black Ajah. As panic begins to step in, she is quickly sheilded, and then dispatched with a weave of air to stop the heart.

 

Searching through her personal affairs however reveals no clues, beyond the normal books and clutter that Browns tend to carry with them. It seems they have been mistaken, leaving the Black Ajah hidden amongst them still...

 

Catina, an Innocent Roleless, has been lynched. It is now Night 2. Please send in your night actions asap. Deadline is 10am on Wednesday (BST).

Mynd, you shouldn't jump to conclusions. My waiting to vote had nothing to do with a bandwagon. I was merely pointing out that several people had suspicions on them, but nobody had a lot of votes yet. None of those people especially jumped out at me as guilty, and it was too early yet to vote just for the sake of a majority, so I held off to see if any more evidence would show up. Unfortunately, I was unable to get back online to vote, but perhaps that is actually fortunate, since I didn't vote for an innocent. I'm not 'desperately innocent', I'm just plain old innocent. If you don't believe me, go ahead and vote for me. I don't have a role, but I'm still innocent.

I always find the "Fine then, go ahead and vote me" tactic to be frequent in these games, but more often than not the person is telling the truth.  I actually buy Spirit's claim this time.

 

I have chosen someone to block already.  I'm not saying who it is, but it may not be who you think.  The fact that Catina indeed turned up innocent has cause me to do some re-reading of some posts.  When you step back and look at the big picture, I find it very interesting how this is turning out. 

 

Someone has been playing a mighty good game....some ones, I should add.  ;)

 

Finder, if you survive the night, you should reveal unless all your findings are dead.  We have yet to get even one mafia and although the odds now are pretty even......we are approaching endgame.

What, the masons have lasted one night?  ::)  That's real strange, Mynd, especially considering that the two killed were the Healer and the Vigilante, and that the outright claim of masons had not been put out until Day 2 (though anyone with a knowledge of mafia roles could have probably put it together).  It's just as strange that the Power Blocker, a much more important role, has lasted this long as well.

VERY interesting point Hybrid.  Mynd why don't you tell us who you "blocked" last night? Hmm?  And why you suddenly changed your tune and said your role only works part of the time?  It was a nice idea Mynd.. it really was... but you get too cocky when you think you have a brilliant plan and you hinted at what you were gonna do on MJ in the transformers game.  I was not then suprised to come over here and see your set up for it.  Like I said... go ahead and lynch me.. or Hybrid or Sammy.  Will only prove us right.  Now that I've shown the flaw in your plan I hope Dae won't let you change your mind and put in a night kill.

 

 

As Hybrid said .. we are still alive because other than being able to talk to each other we have NO powers at all.  IF you were really the power blocker you'd have been killed last night as your role was more of a threat to them.  The only problem with that is you arent a threat to the mafia except in your flawed plan for them... because you ARE mafia.

I have to admit, that was a good cover for a mafia team.  Claim to be masons and things won't be so fishy....and it helped that you preyed on my pro-reveal strategy.  But I learned my lesson well for aligning myslef with Loki in my first mafia game. 

 

Where you guys screwed up was when I decided to drop the hint about my blocking someone "you wouldn't expect" and then adding the bit about someone playing a great game....or some ones.  Guilt can take its toll and cause you to read into things that may not be there....and thats what happened.  You guys were so sure I was completely on your side that you panicked at the mere thought that I would block one of you guys instead.  So, in anticipation of your night kill not going through, you cooked up this crazy theory about me blaming you guys.  I'll admit, it was nice, but only the mafia would have read that deep into such a small piece of information. 

 

What you also fail to realize is that the finder has already likely read me and knows at least my alignment if not my power.  And I suspect that the guy you grouped me with as my supposed mafia buddy is IN FACT the FINDER!!!

 

Slightly inactive and reluctant to vote me....better hope that you sent in a request to kill Krugster instead of me, or you three are about to go down.  So, since all of our night actions are now in and we are just waiting for Dae......do you mind telling us which one of you sent in the night kill?

 

Its pointless to deny it now.  Even with my death, they will know its you three.  Good strategy though.
