Tragedy has struck just moments ago when acclaimed author and former masked vigilante, Hollis Mason, was shot by an unknown assailant at Book Barnes in Times Square.  He was giving a small press conference about the Keene Act and was just about to sit down for his book signing when he was suddenly shot twice in the chest by an unseen killer.  Mason's last words before slipping into subconscious were "I should have been a Watchmaker..."

In related news, as mixed feelings continue to bubble on the surface, the Film Actors Guild has come forward to speak out against the proposed Keene Act revision.  Led by acclaimed film actor Alec Baldwin, many of the Film Actors Guild (or F.A.G. for short) have begun a multimedia campaign to support the Vice President's bill for bringing all masked vigilante's to justice. 

 

"They are not the police," said Baldwin in a press conference, "I should know, I've played a masked vigilante in the movies...you all remember the Shadow, right?  Well, these are not heroes, these are criminals who have no discretion on who is harmed in their vigilante motives."

A group of bipartisan Senators and Representatives, lead by Senator John McCain, still plan on presenting their revised version of the Keene Act, which differs from that of the Vice President in that it grants sanctions to those Masks who come forward willing to work with the government.

 

President Barack Obama returns in less than 5 days and plans on giving a historic state of the union address in New York City.  Despite the recent murders of both Edward Blake and Hollis Mason within a mile of the planned site, the President is determined to go through with the speech.  "This will not be State of the Union rather a State of the World address." 

 

Rain continues to pour down upon New York residents tonight and we expect more thunderstorms to continue through the rest of the night.

Several figures arrive at the charred remains of what used to be the penthouse condo of Edward Blake, also known as the comedian.  Each exchange suspicious glances until the silence is broken...

 

"So," asked Krugster, "what is this all about?"

 

"I don't know," growled Tigara, in a very manly way cause he's a dude, "but Blake is down and now Mason..."

 

"Danya," shouted Catina, "are you alright?"

 

"Yeah," said Verbal, "you seem sick...."

 

"I'm alright," replied Danya, waiving everyone away, "I think I might have had some bad fish or something, but I'm alright now.  Whatever it was, my body fought it off." 

 

"Well, babe, be sure to take care of yourself," smiled Dragon, "can't let my Nordic Beauty get too sick now can I?"  Jelly shakes her head as Catina and Verbal help Danya to her feet.

 

"I'm not your babe or your Nordic Beauty, Dragon...." sneers Danya, "...but its safe to say that some of us aren't playing on the same side." 

 

"Indeed," barked the gravely voice of Hybrid, "I'm curious about each and every one of you."

 

Night 1 has concluded with no players dying.  The sun slowly rises on the New York skyline....

Day 2 Conclusion...

 

{Due to frustrating technical circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to end Day 2 by 11pm Est on Saturday.  No matter, here we go...}

 

"I may be lying about having breakfast this morning," smirked Jelly, "but I am not lying about you being mafia scumbagness, Dragon!"

 

"What?!" exclaimed Dragon, "stop talking crazy! I'm no Mafia!"

 

"Well, we will just have to see about this now won't we...." smiled Danya, "my Texas Cowboy?"

 

"Right," growled Hybrid, "Let's get him!"  Verbal and Catina grab ropes and prepare to tie Dragon down.

 

"You got the wrong guy, I tell ya!" exclaims Dragon, when suddenly the room goes dark.  Screams can be heard, when Tigara flicks on a lamp. 

 

"Is everyone alright?" asked Tigara.

 

"Yeah," said Dragon, "in fact....everyone seems fine."  Danya, Tigara, Verbal, Catina, Jelly, Hybrid, Dragon, and Krugster all stand around, looking even more suspicous of one another as the moonlight shines brightly through the windows. 

 

Day 2 ends with no lynch since a majority had not been reached.  It is now Night 2.

Good point.  This is Watchmen themed.  I don't know how many of you have read it, but the main characters are costumed crime fighters.

 

Also, just because we vote by PM doesn't mean we can't discuss the lynch in the thread.  Of course, people can always lie.

good points hybrid, the mafia likely will lie if we discuss this in the thread, however if we don't discuss it we wont be able to find out who they are easily, so when daytime comes about again lets try to be a bit more vocal about who we are voting for and why, we may need it to win this one.
