Travels of the Tuatha'an!

Lorei removes her cloak and stands ready. The gold beads on her dark green velvet bustier catch the light of the campfire, as do the tiny bells and mirrors sewn into the wide belt of her long, silk, four-tiered skirt. In her hands she holds a thin silk summer shawl of pale green, which she slowly places over her head. She claps her hands with deliberate grace: once (pause) twice (pause) three times, to give the drummer the beat. She can not dance with the wild abandonment of her younger days. But as the music takes hold, she begins to move in the slow, enticing rhythms of a more sedate Tiganza. One that speaks of the loves of many years, some captured and released, some lost, and some never found.

Slowly she circles the fire: triple step, hip lift, triple step, hip lift. The shawl slips from her head to her shoulders, and she draws it slowly down across her breasts: twist walk, hip bump left, hip bump right. The shawl is stretched between her hands, as she continues around the fireside, her feet and hips keeping time with the insistent rhythm of the drum: triple step, shimmy, triple step, shimmy. The shawl veils her face, and the slight sheen of perspiration just beginning to appear there. She'd forgotten during her years in the Tower just how physically demanding this dance is. She stops before GG, arching backwards, feet and shoulders moving in time with the music. Then she leans forward and draws the shawl slowly over GG's shoulders. As the shawl pulls free of his shoulders, she turns slowly: hip circle, hip circle. The shawl forms itself around her as she turns. She pulls it slowly over her head and stands still. The music stops. Her dance is over. Slightly out of breath, she lowers the shawl and turns to arch an eyebrow at GG. "You were saying something about volcanoes?  ;)

We of the Tower are of no place and every place. But it has been my...pleasure...to live for a short time in the Wagons of the People.

Next best thing to a stedding for getting away from it all!

Seriously.... if you do like to tell stories, and glee all over the place, you should take a shot at the Illuminator's! Myndrunner and Dragon21 are just hell on wheels. They need a someone to kick their pants!

*lol*

Dragon21 says "hi".

*Listens to Cleo's tamborine, picks up the rhythm and begins to sing:*

Spinning never ending,

Time forever, ever spinning

Weaves the Legends of the Ages

We all know.

Some are never-changing,

Woven with the ever-changing,

The Pattern they are forming

Is our Life.

Thus the Wheel of Time,

Turns in our Mind,

Spinning out the threads

That Weave our Destiny.

We don't know His Plan.

Don't understand,

Living out our lives

As rhythms of His Rhyme.

Soldiers ever fighting

Great Leaders ever ruling

Endless loves forever twining

Hearts as one.

Threads of Life repeating

Faith and Hope often receding

Into Darkness then resurging

Into Light.

Thus the Wheel of Time

Turns in our Mind

Spinning out the threads

That Weave our Destiny.

We don't know His Plan.

We don't understand,

Living out our lives

As rhythms of His Rhyme.

Journey never ending

Time forever, ever spinning

Lives are only minor rhythms of His Rhyme,

Mmmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmm Mmmmmm Mmmmmm

Only rhythms at the mercy of

    His Rhyme.

*curtsies* Thank you!  :) I was inspired by Gwampy, who is not a thread killer!  ;) ;D

(I'd post the music I wrote for it, but I don't know how.)  :-[

Indeed he isn't, but we find fun in teasing him once in awhile.  He is very self-conscious of his tendency to be long winded.  He just doesn't realize that we eat it up!

;D So true!  *makes sign that says "We luvs GG!" and hangs it on the thread*

ok, Now it's time for the Tinkers to sing!    ;D

Posted

*enjoys the dance*

That was great Lor, seems Grampy inspires many around here ;D

And we do just tease him, in fact he may even be back soon, hopefully.

* hears people singing *

* exhales a huge sigh of relief *

THEY'RE ALIVE!!!

* doesn't want to press his luck *

* trying to keep the post short *

UUUUHHHHMMMM...

I just "sang" a song over at the Wagons of the Tuatha'an if you'd like to "hear" it.

GrandpaG's version of "The Navajo Trail" (an OLD cowboy song).

It's in the thread about what songs do you remember.

* smiles at his self control and efficiency *

* saved a lot of post size by referencing the other post *

;)
