I've not seen a complete map of the world, but from what I understand it's pretty much Randland (w/ Shara somewhere to the east and Seanchen.  It seems like a really small planet w/ not a lot of land, 2 continents.  What is the scale?  What is Randland comprable to in size?  Why not more about the mysterious Shara, or will that figure into AMoL?

Short of whatever happens when Graendal releases (or doesnt) the Shamboyan or whatever she's called, I dont think that we'll see much of Shara. I think it is just too much to figure in the very last book. To my understanding, Shara was created and mentioned purely to alert us that Randland was not everything.

Seanchan is immense, from what we hear. I always thought it must be as big as Randland by itself? Imagining that perhaps Shara is equally as large, and the blight is huge too, I think that perhaps Randland is only 1/4 of the landmass of the world that we know about.

However, just as in the 13th century everyone believed our world was flat, I think it would be quite naive to believe that these 4 domains are the only parts of the world.

Perhaps they are, though. Perhaps Seanchan wraps around to Shara on the other side, or there's an ocean between them. Perhaps the Blight hangs over the top of the world like the Arctic circle.

Personally I think that if we know so little about Shara and Seanchan as lands in their own right, it is quite believable to my little mind that there are yet more lands on the other side of them that we've never even heard of.

the Seanchan continent is massive, bigger than Randland, Waste and Shara together. theres a third continent that has never recovered from the breaking, only the sea folk have seen it, and its a very dangerous place.

As for the size, its concentrating on the major battle, you hear some things that are happening elsewhere, the Amayar killing themselves, Shara in Civil War, the Seanchan Empire going the same way Hawkwings did, but they're unimportant, not really affecting Rand in any major way.

Historically, think of the massive viking raids, northern europe suffered them for a long time, yet places like greece or turkey were never directly touched by them. Because the Norse didnt raid loot and pillage them doesnt stop them being a part of europe

Has anyone ever seen or heard of an actual WoT globe?   I collect clocks and globes so I'd love to know where I can get one.

Isn't there a character that serves one of the Seanchan that came from the Isle of Madmen? He defintely was born into a feral society (I use society loosely) People are always shocked to hear or figure out where he came from.

Someone help me out here...
