Thanks for the quote from Brandon.

I do hope we see more books after AMOL.  I love this world and would love to know how some of the things happened and are going to happen.  As long as Harriet approves and they have RJ,s notes/intentions -  I don't see the harm.

Even if Brandon got Harriets permission to write more, and he was interested, I would definitly prefer if he went back to his own writing. He has started a way to good of a career to waste it tied up with another authors vision.

im beginning to have a very uneasy feeling....when i was in 7th grade, i read the series and thought how great it would be to expand them, and i was afraid that he might never finish them, and i prayed that nothing would happen to Mr. Jordan.  But deep down, i always had a strange feeling that this series was never really supposed to be finished..i guess thats where the mystery and charm of the story lay.

There are many bad examples of books written after the death of the original author (and yes, Dune is a prime example).  The crap that came out of the Dune series, though, has never dampened my appreciation for and enjoyment of the original books.  One of the prime examples of a success in this venue is the original Oz books by L. Frank Baum; the books by Ruth Plumly Thompson were a joy, and in some cases an improvement.  I'm not saying that anyone could improve on RJ, but I for one would be interested in reading further (or past) episodes of WOT - trusting in Harriet and editors to only publish books true to the original.

Dang, you beat me to it. I'm glad the main series is to be finished and I'm deeply grateful to RJ for making preparations for that. However, the prequels and outriggers don't matter to the completion of the main story so I'm really not interested in anyone else writing them. Finishing AMoL is a great opportunity for Young Mister Sanderson and it was a great honor for him to be chosen but he has his own career and it's a promising one. (Elantris had me a little worried but I'm partway through Mistborn and his character interactions have improved a great deal. I'm beginning to see why Miss Harriet picked him.) AMoL is in good hands with YMS but I'd hate to see him spend the rest of his career as someone else's ghostwriter.
