Can perrin by turned to the Shadow against his will??

It was explained by Sheriam in The Dragon Reborn (i think) that since men and women open themselves to the true source, they are vulnerable to being opened to other things, like the shadow via the 13 Myrdraal - 13 Aes Sedai method. The fact that women embrace Saidar and men wrestle Saidin has no bearing, since its the mental opening to the true source, which both have to do in order to channel, which is the weak point. So i was wondering, that in a way Perrin also opens himself, although to something different then the true source but he does open his mind to sense the wolves just like channellers sense the true source, so can he be turned against his will?

I know that its repeatedly stated that his talent has nothing to do with the power and so he should be safe against the forced turning but there's the issue of the dark hounds/shadow brothers, wolf's who have been turned to the shadow. I think it was stated in book 10 or 11 that when dark hounds capture wolves, they can turn them to the shadow, so can Perrin be turned in a similar way, with a forsaken to supervise and guide the process??

I don't have any books to back me up here, but I'm pretty sure that Darkhounds are just another creature Aginor made with the True Power back during the War of Power. Twisting existing wolves into creatures of the shadow through gene manipulation (or whatever his profession was) and the True Power, kinda like he made the trollocs from human and animal stock, except the Darkhounds are 'pure' wolf and shadow.

As for Perrin turing to the shadow, that would have to be the old fashioned way, tortured until he was broken, then swearing whatever dark oaths the Darkfriends use to bind themselves to the Dark One.

Darkhounds were created by Aginor but the darkhounds can make others by eating the souls of wolves.  In the chapter Whirlpools of Color in CoT in a discussion between Perrin and Elyas we get that answer.  As far as them eating the soul of a wolfbrother, we don't know if it's possible.

I'm not disputing that what you've said is true, but is it me or was RJ a bit silly to write that? If Darkhounds can turn other wolves, and as their wolves humanity wouldn't notice it happening, so would'nt the Darkhounds turned like thousands of wolves and have huge packs?

I think it would be more appropriate to say: we don't know that it's NOT possible ;)

True.  It very well could be possible but there's only three wolfbrothers that we've seen and none of them, besides Perrin I think, has run into darkhounds.  Personally I think it is possible.  Why?  Just because it would be cool lol.
