Welcome to the Kin!

 

The Kin has been called a little bit of everything by our fellow orgs, but the resounding tone of each name is centered around one word: FUN!

 

Originally started as a home for folks who found themselves out of step with their primary orgs, the Kin has grown to encompass a lot of really great folks. Whether at home on another forum or not, The Kin welcomes folks from all walks of Org-dom, regardless of their situation, their status, or their activity levels.

 

With this Info post, I'd like to hand you all the links and information you need to know about the Kin as an org, as a group of people, and as (hopefully) future friends.

 

Our Website

As with all other orgs, the Kin has a website that's regularly updated with information. It's been built, housed and maintained by Council Member Kiara. Stop by for a visit, take a turn around the articles and fall in love. ;)

This is our Alpha Site, the place we go when things keep us from being here. All point records and updated point counts are housed here. It's also another place to pull your hair down and relax. As with our website, this board has been built, housed and maintained by Council Member Kiara.

The Kin Store

Supplied with artwork from future in-law artist Lush, The Kin's Cafepress store has lots of really cool items for sale with our TOTALLY KICK...yeah, that... ARTWORK! Stop by and pick up a T-shirt, a clock, a g-string...whatever! All proceeds go towards maintaining our webspace and any excess will be funneled back into DM!

Raising Information

The Kin has Four open levels of membership. You earn points in this org through activity in our mothnly projects, activity on the boards, and by our Council Members handouts. ;) Each Council Member is granted 50 points each month to hand out as they see fit. Sometimes the points flow easy, sometimes...we make you work for it. ;) Either way, getting them is fun and we ALL love raising ceremonies, right?

 

The Levels of the Kin are:

Entry Level: Blue Belt/Sash

0-20 points

This is the beginning level for the Kin.

 

Second Level: Green Belt/Sash

21-60 points

This is the second level for the Kin.

 

Third Level: Purple Belt/Sash

61-120 points

This is the third level for the Kin.

 

Fourth Level: Red Belt/Sash

121+ points

This is the top level of the Kin, for full ranking members.

 

 

The Council of the Kin

I've mentioned it in this post at least twice now, so perhaps I should tell you what it is, right? The Council is our ruling body. All important decisions, projects, web design and hosting, point counting and record keeping is handled by this collection of people. Their ranks are designated by a row of gold bells on their Red Sashes.

 

Currently, the Kin has six active members of the Council. They are:

 

Loraine (U4ea)- The Eldest of the Kin/Org Leader

Kynwric

Kiara

LadyMoraine

HeroAndros

Silverwolphe

 

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to address one of these five people, they'll be happy to help you, however they can!
