A jail break has occured, and a serial killer is one the loose, after being arrest in a previous mafia game, he was now free.. with one thing on his mind...vengence

 

Four retired cops were sitting 'round playing cards and eating doughnuts. They had been "retired" ever since it was found out that only one of them was actual sane, the other three suffered from various forms of delusions, which had lead to massive townie losses as they misdirected both themselves and the townie into lynching themselves and letting the townies into the mafias arms.

 

Getting up to get another beer Loki walked to the fridge when suddenly the lights went out and a figure jumped out of the darkness and strangled him to death.

 

With the lights out, the other cops reached for their torches, trying to identify who was who and who had killed their comrade.

 

It is now Day 1

Standard rules apply, not quoting/talking outside the thread.

 

Just a reminder about the set up, there is one mafia with four cops of varying sanitie, which will affect your results in different ways.

 

A "No Lynch" is a possible, potentially even prudent, option.

Folks, a no lynch is obviously the way to go.  Whether we lynch or not, we only get one shot (we lynch today, and we're wrong, it's game over - the murderer kills tonight and wins at 1-1).

 

So we vote [glow=red,2,300]no lynch[/glow], investigate again, and compare results.

I would like to also compare findings, as of now, because we know that if we no lynch we lose some info. I am aware that someone must lie... i kind of think we can be free with information to an extent. Never fully trusting the information on the table... I'll start.

 

i assume that none of us knows which cop we are because of the whole ambiguity thing. Given our answers, it is possible that some of us may be able to narrow our field down by at least one, possibly two. I can narrow down by two, personally. I got a guilty.

I'd rather we not all reveal our investigation results today - too easy for the jailbird to figure out who the sane cop is, since he has the true guilty/innocent thing down.

 

I say we all focus our investigation on Kryos tonight, pair up that info with a reveal of tonights investigations tomorrow, and we'll have as much info as possible.  Yes, we lose two investigation results, but there's more chance that our sane cop stays alive til the showdown that way

And I gotta agree with DSage, I'm sorry but just automatically picking someone after that as the person to target doesn't really make you look good.

I'll defend myself later for now, we're in night with no lynch, so everyone send in their night actions (and if day 3 pops up on shabbos, and I'm still around, give me a chance to come back and talk before lynching me, ok?)

 

BTW, Alys, if you got a guilty verdict on me (and you are an innocent), then you would only know that you aren't the naive cop.  You could still be the paranoid cop (guilty on everyone, so I come up guilty), crazy cop (opposite results on everyone, so I come up guilty if I'm innocent) or sane cop (real results, so I come up guilty only if I'm guilty).

 

So when you say you have it narrowed down to two, not 3, it makes me think that you slipped up because you already know I'm innocent, so you were only counting the paranoid/crazy cop options, and not the sane cop option.

 

In other words, you are now suspect number one for me.

kivy dear, you forgot, i also know that i can't be the killer.  the first bit of information that would allow me to narrow it down was my modly message from ilgross telling me my role. so, forgive me for saying that your logic is flawed.
