Alright, I just got a call from Mo saying she's under a voluntary evacuation and since I was horribly clueless about the fires out there, I wanna know where everyone is.

So, Ursula, Leane, Staff... anyone else who's in SoCal that I don't know about... WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU AND ARE YOU OK?

My last post before the pc is gone,

They will be demanding evacs from Highland, Redlands and parts of the City of San Bernardino... This is at the bottom of the Running Springs Mountain.. Granted we are far from there, the Fire just came over the mountain top and the firedept told us if the fire keeps this way, We will be Made to leave in the next day.

Leane and Staffy live further west, they may be affected by the Santa clarity or Ontario fires, but Im not sure..

Ursula is north more, but Im sure she is too affected by the Santa Clarity Fires.

If your watching news Sis, Highland/Redlands/San Bernardino City is where I am. *Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead Fires areas*

Anyways, I will call you to keep you posted on my where abouts, Ely lives out here too..so Ill have to find her.. Her family is here in redlands as well.. *sighs*

Oh get this, a little funny fact, They are evacuting ppl  to VICTORVILLE....LMAO.... *shakes head*

Called the Fire Dept jsut now, They are going to demand evacs in North Highland *where I live* By noon tomorow, We can see the fire already, pretty far off, but the winds blowing it this way, slow as it is anyhow.. Love ya all

I will have my cell on tomorow sis, Ill be the last to leave the house, Sending Terrin with mom and sis. Staying here till work shuts down. The FD will need our help as long as we can provide it. Ill need my phone incase I cant leave by the freeway, and someone can direct my on streets to the ten or 91

Too much in town going on.. Looks like some of the coastal winds pushed that fire back onto itself.. However about two miles north of me...*Other side of the freeway* They can see the fire behind their homes, a few of the ppl at my work were staying home on firewatch. We are still under voluntary evacs, but they said due to the change of wind patterns, looks like it will burn into an area that was burned three months ago, and they are hoping that this south eastern part of the fire will burn itself out, or at the very least come under control. They still caution there is absolutely no containment on the Slide/Grass Valley fire, so should be ready to leave just incase..

And for those of you that know me.. Besides my family, the only thing I would pack off is my WoT books... Thats the only box from storage I brought to the house ;)

And its by the back door...LMAO..:)

Anyways, As you can see, I *accidently* Forgot to pack my moms Laptop, so I have access *grins*

If you tell me a town they live in, or possibly tell lor, I can look it up for you, and let you know whats happing.. I can tell you off the top of my head The areas around Magic Mountain, Santa Clarity, and All Canyon country areas were affected. The only evacs still in place in those fires are The Canyon Country communities in Santa Clarity, north of Lancaster and Palmdale. But at least on those fires they have almost full containment.. Thats the LA county and Santa Barbra i think counties fires.. Hope that helps.

Thank you Moraine, that does help. My parents live in the Pleasant Valley area (Camarillo, Ventura, Oxnard) and thankfully I just got off the phone with them and everything's ok. I'm shocked at the disaster that has happened and I hope these fires go out quickly. Please stay safe, Moraine.  :'(

Ok, sorry if anyone was worried about me.  I have class tues & wed. so I wasn't online.

I live a good 20-25 miles south and west from the Santa Clarita/Canyon Country fires and Malibu was about 10 miles away, and both were on the other side of mountain.  I live down in the middle of a suburb, lots of houses between me and any wildland.

Our big trial was the wind and the smoke.  The wind almost knocked you over, to stand in it.  The smoke looked bad, but we hardly smelled it until the wind stopped, and it got to settle.  Yuck.  An I've had a cold, so the stuff in the air seemed to be making cement in my chest.  Cough!  I'm getting better, and the air seems to be clearing.

I actually only know one person who actually lost, and it is an actor friend who lost his wardrobe and prop collection when his house burned.  It looks as though the Renn Faire/Reenacting community will probably have a fund raiser for he and his family.
