New and absolutely shocked

Hey there everyone. Just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm in the middle of A Crown of Swords. I was looking online for info on the 12th book only to find out RJ has passed on. I think I had to pick up my jaw up off my desk when I saw it. I've only been reading the Wot series for about a year now and I regret not picking it up sooner. These are by far the best books I have ever read. And now to find out the Creator himself has passed on is definately a shock.

I know how you feel.. I had to pick my jaw up more than once as I read it over and over. I was shocked to say the very least. You've come to a good place though. DM is full of great and wonderful people.. I came here for book discussions and found so many more reasons to stay!!! I hope you have fun here wherever you find yourself posting. If you need to ask questions for anything don't hesitate.. any of us will help where we can. Speaking of book discussions.. be careful if you've not read all of the books yet. Spoilers are numerous there.. I found that out the hard way, as I still have yet to read KoD.  :P

 

and is everyone else reading CoS too? I'm re-reading and it seems like I'm not anywhere near alone in that book! lol

It was and is a shock to us all that He passed away. You are definitely in the right place for information. This site has much more than info on the series, it is a place to interact with people that share a passion for the WoT series.

 

So take some time looking around the forums and don't be afraid to put your 2 cents in. When you get to checking out the Orgs, may I recommend that you stop in at the Wolkin Org. We are the party animals and official nature org of Dragon Mount. We don't have alot of rule or require alot of your time. Just stop in and have fun, thats what we're all about.

Make sure you check out he White Tower Org…visit the Reds, they’ll give you lots of Snugglebites. 

 

Also the Illiuminators Org is amazing!!! I love it because that is where all the creative people hang out. There are place for those who like graphic design, writing, or crafty stuff like candle making or soaping!!

 

So please check everything out and find were your comfortable!!

Better late then never in finding the series and DM. Welcome to DM. We are glad you joined us. We have all had to deal with our shock and loss.

 

If you join the White Tower org I would like to extend a personal invitation the the Green Ajah. We love having nice men stop by.  :D  Seriously though the orgs are a nice place to visit with people with similar interest. There is a sticky with all of the information and a description of each org.
