She said I was the perfect man ... I guess her mind went before her body ...   :D

Excellently played, my friend.  8)

Points of fact: Halle Berry is 41 and in People's 50 Most Beautiful 2007. Kim Cattral was in her 40's while filming Sex and the City, and is now 51.

But i dont see Birgitte dealing much with Gaidal in this life. He is, at best, a toddler, and she is in her late twenties to early thirties. By the time he is around she'll be nearing fifty. It possibly, certainly... but i concider it unlikely.

Yeah I know ... that would be like someone around, say, Lan's age hooking up with someone, I don't know, around Nynaeve's age ...

;)

And wasn't that how it always was with Birgitte and Gaidal up to this point?

I can not dispute your examples but I think that the percentages go the other way.

My hubby is significantly older and I would not have it any other way.  Of the marriages/relationships that I have personal knowledge of where the husband is significantly younger - only 3, I admit - all three went sour within 5 years.  I have several friends (4) who married (3) or just live with (1) an older man and all of us have stayed with them and, as far as I know, are all quite happy.

I admit that this is just my small experience sample, but it does shape my opinion.

I agree that it goes the other way more often. My point is that it isn't unthinkable that two souls, especially those linked the way Gaidal and Birgitte are, would find it impossible to have a relationship just because the woman is significantly older than the man. It's a ridiculous assumption, especially considering the number of older women in media who are found attractive by males of all ages.

And I thought I was long winded!  I agree that must have taken a long time to type...and to organize all of those separate thoughts!  I've commented before that there are some VERY strong minds posting on these boards.  Enjoyed reading it.  Hope it's not 100% correct in all respects because I don't want any of the heroes to die.  But, if it's the Last Battle, I guess someone will have to, huh?

All of the Aiel did not bail out of the Waste and boogie for the Wetlands, right?  I didn't count the Septs, but there must still be a conciderable reserve of highly experienced fighters who hate the shadow still available there.  Maybe the Wise Ones can meet in TR to teach the Waste Wise Ones how to travel and bring their forces into the fight?  Can only be left with the remnant of a remnant, yes?  Most are probably headed for Lake Rhuidean for a quick dip.  ;D

Communication in randland uuuuhhhhh.....stinks.  If the forces of the Light are vastly outnumbered but have more one power yielders, they can only win by being better coordinated which means teaching the damane the Travelling weave.  The Ashamen will have to fight once in a while and can't all be tied up as messenger boys.  TG needs to be fought as a combined effort centered in the Black Tower.

Will they have time to gather the Windfinders and bring them to the front lines?

I don't remember if it was early in this thread or in a different one that mentioned the Ogier opening their book of trans*something*.  Will they be in AMoL?  Seems a shame to leave them out.

Thank you once more for a very enjoyable post, Luckers!

Wow Luckers! Most intriguing, I must say.  I hope RJ gets ahold of this theory so he can be sure to surprise us now.  Otherwise, you just spoiled AMOL :'(

I would like to say though there are a good many wildcards that RJ has to play with(Which is a good thing).

Fain really needs to step it up a notch.  It would be good to see him swiftly scare and slaughter the Gholem.  That would help vamp his repoir towards being a back-row piece.  Perhaps a little Machin Shin completely loosed free in Randland.  I wouldn't mind seeing MS consume the Heroes of the horn as well.  Sorry to be so negative and all but TG really needs to feel like all hope is lost and the world is coming to an end. + Fain has been one of my favs for a long time.  He kind of reminds me of one of my old 1st sgts.

As far as RJ saying that everyone will be utterly shocked when they learn what he has in store for them, I personally hope that Rand severs the DO and all of those of whom can channel and all of those who will be able to channel for ages to come.  Ending it on such a downnote would certainly illustrate the raw dynamics of the magnatude of a breaking of the world and a collapse of a series of ages.  Afterall, Rand did build A school in hopes of leaving something left.

Sorry guys, but lets face it: The only way Randland can become stable is to eliminate direct access to the OP by people (referring to post TG of course).

Thank you Luckers!Your Posts are always insightful and entertaining.

If I may humbly presume to expand upon your ending, there is an idea that I'd like to propose that kind of fits.

Nynaeve sits in her small house near a tiny village when a Gateway opens and Elayne comes through with the kids, followed by Thom(as Andors Court Bard)and Moraine, and maybe Juilan and Amathera.

Laeving the women to talk, Thom and Juilan go for a walk returning in a short time telling everyone that they are needed in the village.

As the party approaches the village, the women see a large sign proclaiming "Valan Luca's Traveling Show etc..."Nynaeve tries to turn back, but Elayne won't let her, telling her she is being childish.

They come to the entrance and there stands the man himself,a widower since the time the show passed through a "bubble of evil" and Latelle's bears ate her during a performance.

Imagine his surprise when he finds outthat Morrelin, his former tightrope walker really is the Queen of TWO countries, and "Nana",the target of knives, arrows, and his affections,is Nynaeve Aes Sedai,Hero of TG and The Last Queen of Malkier, whose tale is being told by Gleemen more than any other from "The Second War of the Shadow".

Now imagine Nynaeve's surprise when she realizes that she is actually attracted to him.

  And they live ...you know.

I like it.  Maybe Ny could show Valan a few tricks with the frying pan?  He might want her to start wearing her costume again.  ;D

They'd have to find an act for Moraine...maybe a swammy who can read minds?  (Like Carnack the Magnificent on The Late Show with Johnny Carson).  She could use her magic blue forehead stone to impress the crowd.  (OOOOOOOOOOOO...AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!)

Have Lan's ghost haunt the joint.  Only when he went to whack someone's head off, the sword would pass right through their neck without leaving any mark.  Might still scare the crap out of them.  ;)

Thom could teach one twin to play the flute and the other the harp.  Both would have to learn juggling and knife throwing.  "Uncle" Rand and "Aunt" Min and "Aunt" Aviendha and her four kids could pop in from time to time for supper.

;D
