One thing, by no means solid evidence, but definitly worth paying attention to when pondering whether or not Slayer could be a darkhoundbrother...Eyes.

First of all, a darkhoundbrother would be a wolfbrother gone bad. In the case of Slayer, that would mean either Luc or Isam must have been born a wolfbrother. However, we have seen POVs from people who have gotten a good look at both Luc and Isam, and nowhere do we see a mantion about yellow eyes. You'd think at least Perrin might notice such a detail, for obvious reasons...

Having read the discussion between Luckers and Majsju, I would favor Fain over Tuon. Sure, Tuon stands at the head of one the largest armies in the land, and that is reason enough to have her killed. However, Semirhage must have known for a long time that at one time or another she would need to get rid off the royal family. She also must have known Tuon's disappearing tricks. Wouldn't she have made sure there was a plan B in case Tuon was absent when she (Semirhage) decided to end the royal line? I've seen mentions of a tracker or something like that, but I've no idea what that means.

What were those modifications/enhancements made to the Darkhounds that attacked Rand? And who made them? Could it be possible that these are also enhanced?

The enhancements were their ability to reform after Rand beheaded them.  Normal Darkhounds, like the one Perrin managed to kill after shooting it full of arrows, can't do that.

cwestervelt is right about the enhancements, has for whether others can be enhanced, we don't know. The Darkhounds that attacked Rand might have been made in the Age of Legends. I think it would be difficult to modify Darkhounds today without access to all the specialized equipment and ter'angreal that Aginor had access to in the Age of Legends. However the Dark One managed to make Shadar Haran, so perhaps he's free enough to tinker with the makeup of his minions creations.

We haven't seen that much of Darkhounds. Lan killed one off camera. Perrin shot 2 or 3 arrows into one and it went down, we don't know if it died (Mo balefired the rest). Rand and the T-1000 darkhounds, which is the only example of Dark Hound v. mundane weapon I can think of.

We just don't know enough, and I don't think the BWB of bad art article is much help.

Given the number of Darkhounds that supposedly exist, the vast majority must be killable via traditional means, else humanity would have been annihilated in the Trolloc Wars.
