HOUSE CHAMPIONSHIP: Day Four (Gryffindor)

This is a fun one requiring TEAMWORK!  ;)

 

Each House will be given the task of writing a Sorting Hat Song with a twist. Working together as a house you are asked to write 5 verses of a Sorting Hat Song(All verses are four lines long). 1 verse should be all about Dragonmount School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, 1 verse should be about Harry Potter and the other 3 should be about your House qualities. The Houses will be rated and given points accordingly 1st: 100 Points 2nd: 75 Points 3rd: 50 Points 4th: 25 Points.

 

At least three people should have an input for writing it. Please use this thread for discussion about it! :D All entries should be emailed to harrypotterweek@hotmail.co.uk by 2pm GMT tomorrow from the Head of House or another chosen representative!

Okay, do we have any songwriters in our House?

 

In our House, we have Lor, Talya, Paetric, Jhae, Alarwyn, Delenn, Elgee, BridMorgan, Safir and myself so we should be able to come up with something!

 

I'm not a songwriter but I have a possibility for the 1st 2 verses - are we supposed to post them here or . . . ?  If so, I can post them here and the entire House can have a stab at editing it.  And we really do need to get to work on the House verses, too!

I'm not sure when I'll be able to chat tonight, though!  After I get off work, I have to go feed and water the horses, scoop poop, and get my oldest to football practice.

 

Maybe I can get hubby to meet us at the ball field so I can get home and work on this . . . *falls over laughing* 

 

I saw Kath's request on the Hufflepuff thread and almost posted a Hufflepuff verse for her . . . but figured discretion is the better part of valor and chickened out! LOL!

I'm here for about 30 minutes, then I'm getting to go see the movie *whoo-hoo* so I won't be around 'til later, I'm afraid. I suck at songwriting and my poetry tends to sound more like Dr. Seuss, but I'll see what I can play with. Feel free to send me messages on MSN and we'll chat. :)

Football practice then group songwriting.  I have a start for us - y'all can rip it apart, add to it, change it, or toss it altogether and start over . . . LOL!  I'll post it after we get home.  It may be a short practice due to weather.
