Hiya, New Reader Here!

Hello! I am a not new the WoT, as my wife is a huge fan and has read the series many times. After years of considering reading it, I am now attempting to read through the whole series myself. It is a daunting task, especially as someone who hasn't done a lot of reading in probably ten years. I am up to book five, fires in heaven, and am really enjoying everything so far. I tried listening to the audiobooks while at work, but that was years ago, and it was really difficult to stay focused on the narration while I was working. As I read through the books, everything is much clearer to me. Over the years since we have been married, my wife has spoken at length about the series, so I know some spoilers that happen. However, I have also forgotten a lot of what she has told me. I kind of like that I don't remember a lot of what she said, as it's very exciting to see these events unfold in the books, not know what is coming next. I'm looking forward to finishing the series and chatting about it with others, and hopefully finding other new readers to chat about the books with as I go through them.
