Twas the month before Christmas, and all through the West,

The Edmond's Field Five had just started their quest.

To get on TV, they changed more than a smidge,

like Who is the Dragon, and a wife who gets fridged.

The very first scenes showed a man and the Reds,

and our non-virgin heroes in each others' beds.

Changes galore for the world to explain,

Like a self killing warder and the dragon Logain.

That wasn't enough, so the changes kept on;

Now Lan's got a smile and Moiraine's with Siuan.

From the Rivers to Logoth they ran like a flash,

Mat still finds the dagger and starts acting too rash.

A Darkfriend in Four Kings is met with aplomb,

and the first season's showing of our gleeman Thom.

The Whitecloaks are bad ass and that's something new,

but beating a Tinker's still something they do.

We skip out on Camelyn, and hit Tar Valon

but still through the Ways, to Fal Dara are gone.

They show us the Blood Snow, and Tigraine so bold

to give birth to the Dragon with Tam in the cold.

It ends with the Dragon at war in the Blight

and the rest at the Gap as they struggle for Light

Kill Aginor, Rahvin, and Belth and Be'lal;

They're so much less needed than curvy Graendal.

Just give us the Green Man, a Seal and a Horn,

then add in some Grey Men and Fades Neverborn

To show us the world and how much it is scary

but don't forget Rand and the mountain he'll carry

For oft dreadful pacing, that's Amazon's blame

but even with racing, the heart's still the same:

There's long winded Loial and a knife up Thom's sleeve;

Bright Egwene still cares for braid tugging Nynaeve;

Perrin's still gloomy, and Mat's about marks,

and Min still tells Rand about lights in the dark.

Fain is still sneaking, we see him in flashes,

while Uno still mutters 'bout great bloody ashes.

Lan is more human, and Moiraine the same;

but she and her Sisters still play the Great Game.

They set up the world, and they showed us it's gory

they now can move on with the rest of the story.

Like Elayne and her warder, or Galadried's zeal

Or Perrin with Gaul, and him meeting Faile.

The third of three women has yet to be seen

but we already know that we're getting Selene

So we're off to Cairhien, and Falme and Tear

but I doubt that the Stone is important next year

Off to the Tower, our girls will go back,

And soon they will learn that red can mean black.

To the west and the Seanchan we're moving with haste,

and then I'm quite sure with Aiel to the Waste.

Throughout season one they’ve been setting the stage,

and less than we'd hoped they're just shooting the page.

For some it's too different, for others it's great

to watch Rand al'Thor as he struggles with fate.

But love it or hate it, it's time for a rest

So I'm wishing this forum the holiday's best
