I wrote this in a series of lessons for TarValon.Net, but I am happy to share this little lesson to help all of you!

CREATING SIGNATURES IN "PHOTOSHOP"
PART 2

Signatures, or "Siggies" are basically what it is named. It is a form of signing your name at the end of any post you create. Some use a basic text signature, others elaborate graphics. Most use both. A signature is only limited by the individual creativity, but then even the most basic of signatures can express many different things. Emotions, humor, satire, or even a political expression. We all love Signatures, and it's probably why most of you have chosen to take this class.

In Lesson 2 we will be piecing together a signature from one image to create something that looks flawlessly like one image! Careful, we are going to get rather image heavy from here on out and I do apologize for the image sizes. I'm cutting them down so that they can be viewed fairly easily... trying to anyway.

Step 1:
Start by opening an image into your editor. My choice of image is I__m_still_here by night fate, as the composition of the original has beautiful colours and reminds me of a Novice in her white dress.

HOMEWORK:

Homework is to make a Signature by piecing together many parts of one image. (If you can't find an image, feel free to pilfer one from my favorites on Deviantart.com.) I challenge you to make this for either your mentor or for a friend.
