Basically my concern with Tiink is he's only really focused in the prime conversation of the moment. Turin vs Sooh, Shad vs Ben, BFG vs Clov are the only things he's had a say in--questions Turin's push and drops a vote there later, isn't really in the thread again to follow through before Turin's claim so ok. Takes my side over Ben in our initial argument but hasn't had much to say on it since and hasn't actually offered a take on me, just some negativity towards Ben. Same with BFG vs Clov--negative towards BFG but no take on the person she's arguing with.

Makes me wonder if he's just trying to fuel v/v violence from the sidelines without getting heavily involved. He sort of stopped talking about Ben coincidentally with other players calling us v/v. His interest in BFG seems to have dwindled as Chris and I are both starting to come around on her. I'm not seeing much independent progress here.

This is partially why I was questioning him yesterday about the no lynch thing.  It's possible he's struggling to stay caught up because it seems like he's been traveling and hasn't really been around at all.  If that's something he actually cares about, that's fine...but why is it scummy/concerning?  His answer was basically, "It's more beneficial to mafia."  Okay....how?  I think most people can come up with a scenario or two mafia could NL there becuase they find it beneficial, but I don't know what he thinks the benefit is.

I'll take another look to see if I'm missing stuff from other topics, but off the top of my head, that analysis is pretty much correct.  I think I've asked him for other reads beyond his initial contributions a couple of times and got little to nothing.

Okay, I feel like we've been on this board at different times and I might be out of touch, but there were quite a few full blown arguments about no lynch that I didn't think I'd have to go into such detail.

Considering you've been leaning town on Gg for a while now, where are you at in general?

Right now order is probably Tink -> Verb -> Ben based on what I posted yesterday (?), though I want to re-evaluate on Ben in case I missed something between Tink and him.

@Shad

It sounded like Tiink was in a not-so-subtle way trying to point the finger at the rest of us.  No specifics outside of what you and Clov mention as the "hot topics of the moment", just a general "look that way" type of post.

My take if Tiink is scum is that it was more a way of saying "hey look at me I'm here and participating unlike these other people".

If he's town then /shrug but basically I don't agree with Chris humoring that he might just be behind.

Did you not understand the joke I was making there?

My view was that we weren't getting anywhere. BFG and Clov topic hadn't evolved much in my eyes and neither had Ben's view on you. Maybe you got something out of it but I honestly didn't.

I've focused on the voting from Day 1 and I'm trying to get an understanding of the people around at the moment yeah. I haven't really had much to say on Ben because he has pretty consistently directed his posts towards you and dropped town reads on BFG. I've asked him about both and it hasn't adapted and I just asked him to develop on it. I'm not sure what else you want me to do until that happens. I don't see how I'm fueling v/v violence. I really don't see how I'm fueling violence between BFG and Clov considering Clov doesn't even seem to agree with my take on BFG judging from the tone of his posts generally. Their argument has a different basis to the one I presented.

I feel like you're town but you're floundering here.

I mean, if you're a wolf then echoing something I'd said a while ago as a sort of "hey yeah guys this BFG looks fishy" when she's already under a lot of pressure has an obvious advantage; doesn't really matter if it doesn't jive with Chris's approach to the topic.

What is up with you calling BFG Clov and Verb your biggest concerns and then doing ~nothing irt Clov despite me and him being like 90% of the posts in the game since you said it?

I might be wrong, but I wouldn't call it floundering.

@Turin

This makes no sense.  I blue read Ben and green read Sooh.  How exactly is that NOT trying to "form a town core"??  And a wedge between Shad and Sooh?  No kidding, I was pressuring Shad and calling Sooh a townie.  Your post makes no sense to me here, and that vote is pretty weak as a result, sorry.

Pretty sure this is a prime example of what Shad's talking about.  You're commenting on the big ticket items so to speak, and ignoring the small stuff....and then drop the item when it's no longer what everybody else is talking about.

My reads on other people, really.  I'm ~clearing half the players, so that just leaves you three.  The order is basically because I have nothing to eliminate you and Tinker as a team, whereas you and Ben seem less likely.  I'm going to check to see if there's anything that makes me think Ben/Tinker is less likely than you/Ben.

No Lynch - 1 - BFG

5 to lynch

Deadline in 4 minutes

Not voting: Verbal, Darthe, Clov.

Trying to make sense of this lynch is not easy. I feel like it gives us such useless information. I can't even blame Shad for the outcome because a random lynch between 4 targets with one person on each train would be soo bad. I'm wariest of Verb and Clov for not voting and BFG for voting no lynch which imo is a bad play almost always unless you're near end game. The way that whole thing progressed just made it look like scum were just waiting around rather than actually trying to do anything.

Page 42 was correct, thank you Tiink.

I don't understand the bold.  Why would scum need to do anything other than wait around?  If they weren't "doing anything", that means the trains were all likely town, right?

UNLESS, you're saying maybe BFG is scum and she voted NL to NOT tie anybody up with somebody she knew was town (Darthe), and maybe would not have had a solid reason to attribute to any other vote.....therefore making 1 of the other 1-vote trains her teammate?

Help me understand, here.

Where did you say what I'd said? I remember you mentioning the NL but I don't recall us having the same thought process?

IRT Clov, I'm at home visiting family and friends so I've only had a brief time to look at the game and I used up my energy last night (at 2 am) to talk about BFG. I'll have something for you later but I wanted to reading all that last night.

I'm pretty sure Shad posted like half a page about how he didn't think Town!BFG remotely cares about how her voting/not voting is perceived.

Okay.  Why are you questioning Turin then?

One of the people not contributing a ton is prob one of the scum, with the other likely being a thread leader.

That means....

Me/Tiink/Ben

and

BFG/Shad/Clov

with Turin kind of on the outside looking in as he's probably a cleared Lover.  That is where my head's at right now.  I know I'm not scum, and I had Ben as blue from D1....so that means I think by POE Tiink could be one of them.

As for the other, ffs I have no idea.

Gun to head, scum team is Tiink/BFG

Because I want to know why he's voting me.  And I don't want a dogpile on me at this stage.  Just because he's probably town doesn't mean I'm not going to question motives.

Also, can you explain your original read on Ben?  Where are you at IRT him now?

His reaction to Shad early on seemed really sincere, and tinged with just the right amount of annoyance that I'd expect in a townie having to fight off a "wild Shad" appearing out of nowhere.  If I misread it, I misread it, but that was my strong feeling at that point and unless I've missed something huge, nothing has changed that opinion.

FTR if the scum team is BFG/Clov, I'm considering permanent retirement, as I clearly have regressed in this game much more than I ever thought I would.

@ Bold - Likely, yes.

As for part 2, I think it's more likely she just wanted to look like she's contributing. I don't think that the no lynch vote gives really any information about her teammates just because it's incredibly last minute and more likely spur of the moment. Also if one of her teammates was one of the trains, I gotta think that she would've pushed for a vote beforehand instead of letting the Darthe vote just progress that way? Idk

It doesn't really matter because you're either town and it was a coincidence or you aren't--there's nowhere further to go with it than to point it out. But since you asked:

It just seems... really silly? and I don't get the town motive for it where a wolf could feel more compulsion to put on the appearance of taking some sort of stance at deadline

This is also just such a weird play. I might say that it's potentially her just trying to look like she's contributing somehow but having no lynch on the table that round just provides another good alternative for scum? It doesn't make any sense.

In bold. I didn't state the second half of your reasoning (and think it's unlikely regardless of alignment).

It wouldn't blow my mind but I don't think we're ever going there without a GOAT cop or something.
