I'm of the opinion there are 2 scum present.

 

Now is there 1 in each bracket or 2 in the same?

If there are two I’d imagine it’s the same bracket to make sure they force D3. Otherwise they risk losing.

I'm still here as well, just distracted. I'm in the camp of mafia being more likely in different brackets because they'd have a greater chance of winning. In the world where two mafia are fighting against each other, yes a mafia will guaranteed make it to the final bracket, but they still have to beat a town (1v1 I might add). Whereas if you split up the matches, you do have a chance to lose immediately, but you could also win right away and shorten the length of the game (which always favors scum). If both scum lose in this world, they would've likely lost 1v1 anyway.

So logically BFG can’t be scum unless she’s scum with me. Or the symp who has no power in who she is matched up with.

 

So likelier conclusions are we are scum together or she is town. But if you think I am town, then she shouldn’t be scum. Unless symp.

that's her individually, you're not thinking about the mafia team as a WHOLE.

and even if BFG was paired against me and won, and then go to the final challenge, she'd still have to face you theoretically AJ, so why not face you earlier when there's less information?

No, I am. Regardless if she’s the lone mafia or not, it doesn’t make sense to pair with me again. In the world you’re talking about, it assumes I am town. I have been town reading BFG all game. This is favorable in any other matchup besides against me because I will always vote to keep myself alive.

but she'd have to beat you again regardless... You're not looking at the overall picture, you're looking shorterm. IF the game would end naturally after the second phase then yes I see your point, but if said duel is likely going to have to happen anyway, why not get it done with sooner?

Presuming you are indeed town AJ, whether BFG is mafia alone, or with Lenio, they still have to beat both me and you, so at some point for her/them to win they'd still have to beat you whether Lenio is the one to do it or BFG.

That’s valid. But why force the matchup now versus maybe delaying it another phase? She’s presumably already not a favored played to advance. So why not pair with her partner and ensure one makes it alive to D3, or a lesser consensus read and hope Lenlo beats me? Idk - it just doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m gonna wait to hear from Verb and hopefully SK before I decide who to vote in the other bracket. I’m always voting BFG to keep myself alive but I feel pretty good about her being town. Can’t say that about either of the other two.

The longer the game goes, the worse for mafia, they want to win/lose as quick as possible because the quicker, the less time they have to hold a façade.

I guess the bottom of my case is that there’s no reason for BFG to once again pair with me unless we are both scum. So if you don’t think I am scum, then she shouldn’t be scum either.

 

This is clearly a play to benefit from the tinfoil based on that and the selection of NKs.
