Sooh T - don't think I even need to explain this

 

Zander T - at this point, he's basically jumping up and down trying to get people that are scumreading to townread him.  I understand that people view that as scummy.  I understand why.  But I also understand Zander, probably to a level better than just about anybody in this game that's not Cory and maybe Sooh.  As I said before, Town!Zander cannot fathom that people disagree with him or don't see him as town and actively goes out of his way to change that and a lot of the time focuses solely on that.  Mafia!Zander will get the same kneejerk OMGUS reactions because that's what is expected but it's more...IDK?  Rabid dog, rather than neglected pet?  

 

Again...I get that people don't like it.  I get that certain people (Spades, Lindsey, etc.) don't understand it.  But anybody that's played more than a couple of games with Zander knows I'm right about that assessment.

 

Against the grain: 

 

Besides how strongly I feel about Zander, maybe my Fred read?  I think he's viewed mostly favorably, but I think I'm probably higher than him than most.

 

Who I want to lynch:

 

I really have no idea.  I don't have any true scumreads.  Scruff/Cuth/Coward are all about even for me near the bottom, Iron would be right around there as hell.  Darthe might be just a smidgeon above.  

 

Part of me thinks Scruff just because there's probably the least downside with it.

Zander is a bulldog who can see ghosts and chase his tail in circles, but what he always forgets to emulate as a wolf is his internal emotional consistency. As a wolf he's determined to fulfill his role and will make pushes, argue points and try to keep his post count high. He's an extrovert above all else and does not pay much attention to his internal process, just the sheer instinct of what he does.

 

Everything he's done this game is in line with that instinct, as much as some of you might not like that. His miscommunication with bop was of that exact degree. His problem with Eldrick (which is dismissive of the fact that Eldrick isn't psychic and could simply just be a villager who got it wrong, as villagers do all the time) - all just patented Zander trying to find something to attack and attack.

 

What he doesn't do as a wolf is the sad puppy routine after getting dismissed for his read, the discouragement, the nose in the dirt drag when people tell him he's wrong. As a wolf he meets resistance by continuing to push; as a villager he cares, especially internally, to how he's being perceived and the effect he has on the thread state. It literally drips throughout his posts. It's something he's legitimately barely conscious of; he rarely ever sits and thinks, he just does.

 

The funny part is everyone is just like lolzander and even shad last post game was like verbGOAT.   Verb played well but I called out 3 wolves d1 Adella/Cass/Killa.  only backed off of adella for emo. and 2 of the 3 most everyone was like shutup zandre you suck. not to mention i locked eld in as my top town read.  yes i made/make some mistakes but ust because you guys dont see where im coming from dont mean i suck.

 

anyways just wanted that off my chest.

My big issue is that he literally can't read me at all. I get Bop being confusing because I can't read Bop (and if he wasn't my partner I would be very confused about him), but it feels like he's grasping at anything to try to convict me which doesn't read villager to me. It reads vindictive and narrative pushing. Normally I can see a reason for someone misreading me this hard, but I'm not finding any logic in his witch hunt.

 

@Sooh how is that support group coming??

That's where I'm at atm.

 

Regarding my posts in that bug period. Most of them was me changing the format or just outright removing parts of them to see if that would fix things. The others were just made at a different time since I wanted to see if it was just a timing issue so of course the wording would alsi be slightly different.

I believe that cory genuinely believes his read which is why I'm still town reading him but his reasoning is bad. Those set of posts are plain and simply NAI.

 

Can you explain the bold?  I really don't get how Cuth would be a strongish read for anyone (in EITHER direction), and both Fred and Eldrick have looked good to me.

I didn't follow last game so I have no idea what happened, but literally nobody has insinuated you suck or that you can't make reads this game.  Calling you scummy or reading you as mafia is not an insult.  Disagreeing with your reads isn't an insult. 

 

This game is almost 100% subjective.  It's okay to look at something in a different way and reach a different conclusion.

Im a huge Meta player.  if I had Meta I thought was similar id either be calling you Town or calling for your head, and believe me and ask those who know me, you may think Im tunneling you, which I am but this is NOT A ZANDERTUNNEL

Understand that you are very wrong about Bop and I, that doesn't make you bad at the game in the slightest, but I think you just have no idea how to read either of us and aren't listening carefully.

How, exactly, should he be reading you?  You said YOU can't read Bop and would be confused if you didn't know his alignment.  From a town!Zander POV, you can't read him at all.  Everything you've done is highlight the behaviors most in line with his overall playstyle, as a whole, and use them to call him scum.

 

As someone not directly involved, I can see where somebody that doesn't know Zander reaches that conclusion - and I've said as much.  But I also know Zander, so even though I wouldn't handle it the way he has, I'm not surprised he has.

You're absolutely right it doesn't, but I don't think anybody is arguing it DOES mean that.  I think what most people would agree is pointless (and this isn't directed at you specifically) is stomping your foot about an argument for a hundred posts when it's clear the majority of players don't agree with your reasoning/conclusion.  Either find new evidence, find a new way to present it, or find a new issue to discuss.
