specifically the way you're going about this game as opposed to the town/scum games i've played with you

tonal differences

/shrug

seeing things that remind me of things that bothered me when we were w/w

Would really appreciate some quotes to flush this out for everyone else.

I'd like that too, so I can defend myself.

Well, it just doesn't look good for Cuth, imo.

I am going to try to be patient with him since he just popped back in, but I'm not a big fan of voting without real conviction. His reasoning doesn't seem to have much backbone, or at least he doesn't seem to want to give much detail atm.

The other hand I don't really see a wolf sweeping in after an absence and pointing a finger at someone drawing attention when they are already under suspicion for their lack of interest in the game.

It seems you two wolfed together, Iron, what do you recall about his meta from that game?

i have been

seriously underwhelmed by scruff's posts

haven't read them in a while

but the first one was alright excusable whatever not as bad as people made it out to be

the follow up was

kinda less impressive?

don't really want to lynch him d1 on a new site, but wouldn't be starkly opposed to it from what i've read

Basically what you're doing right now? xD

I think I've said this before, but he was super engaged and WIM-y that game. He got himself into the town core early and got to influence the other players a lot. Probably would have won us the game if I hadn't messed up and gotten caught.

completely different, actually

activity, engagement, or lack thereof in a game is not ai in and of itself

noted it can be ai when combined with other things, there are people who have a harder time getting into the thread as one alignment than the other, as well as other things

are you just comparing the two in that neither of us have posted very much?

do you find that suspicious in and of itself?

if so, why?

I'm mostly pointing out that you voted yet brushed off your reason for doing so. While it seems like you may have a better reason than Scruff, it would be nice to have more context so the rest of us can understand your thought process.

If you choose to not elaborate your reasoning, not give reads on people and basically not cooperate, it does look suspicious to me.

However, I don't know that I have encountered a wolf who does this, it just makes you hard to work with if you're a villager.

If you genuinely think Iron is a wolf because of his actions so far, pull up quotes and explain it for all of us. Back up your claim.

i'm talking about a gamestate/process read from two other games, one where i was his partner and one where he was town, and comparing them to this game

that's a lot of work, and while i will probably do it at some point it's definitely not happening tonight

as such i am left with either trying to explain as much as i can or just straight up ignore your questions

on that note i think zander's town too

being a liiiittle on the nitpicky side for a wolf at this stage of the game wrt the famous exchange

That's fine, I don't mind waiting. I think I'm just excited to hear from you because I felt like I've hit a wall in my reads from the 3 missing people in the thread. New perspectives can sometimes help a lot.

Will look forward to more from you after you've got some rest.

To an extent, yes. But with outside knowledge that he's been busy, I'd say it's mostly null. At the very least I'd never scum him for it since I know he's not the type to lurk as scum.

I'd go as far as to say it's completely null, personally.  He can definitely go crazy as scum.  He also does that as town.  I would guess with a reasonable amount of confidence that whatever is keeping him out of the thread would have the exact same influence as the opposite alignment.  The post count might be just a hair higher or lower depending, but I wouldn't think it would be significant enough to say he's <alignment> because of his activity so far.

Spades, can you elaborate on you reasoning in 1102?  Specifically, I'm having trouble discerning who you're talking about when you say "they are already under suspicion for lack of activity".  Does "they" refer to Cuth or Scruff?  From my POV, that's a read a lot of scum would make, especially if you mean the target is already under suspicion; mafia has to push somebody.  If the mostly consensus townreads are actually town, it would be pretty difficult to come in and expect to make traction on them.  Pushing the inactive townies is much more likely to go through, and it's not like anybody really has a reason to speak out in their defense.

I'll quote it all for you and I think everything I said was pretty clear

"Well, it just doesn't look good for Cuth, imo.

I am going to try to be patient with him since he just popped back in, but I'm not a big fan of voting without real conviction. His reasoning doesn't seem to have much backbone, or at least he doesn't seem to want to give much detail atm.

Obviously it was about Cuth. My thought process is there. He came back in with an extremely nonchalant attitude which pinged me a bit because he didn't seem even slightly interested in explaining his vote. This is the same reason Scruffy is on my radar. I'm not accusing them of being a wolf, but I am trying to figure out why someone who claimed have been reading the thread, yet saw nothing of interest to comment on, comes in, votes and leaves very little explanation as to why. He did say he would try to elaborate tomorrow, so I look forward to hearing their perspective.

I'm also not the only one to find the three who were inactive to raise red flags. I'm very eager to hear from them because I don't think I'm making any progress in figuring anyone else out. The thread felt like it was stagnating.

I've never played with Cuth, so I'm trying to figure out is this is alignment telling or not. Iron says no, you say no. I'm asking questions so I can wrap my head around it all.

I should have multi-quoted this and not copy-pasted.

@bop:

I haven't actually found an earlier vote for you.

I think you don't need the slash in the unvote.

For the record I would accept your unvote as the intent is clear and I'd find it with just a casual "vote" search.
