12. Cass - still feel good about, has joie de vivre, not JUST asking questions but also following up and being multifaceted, is a good look

3. Shanti - ehhhh i kinda still lean v here but that's not a strong read in any way

from the standpoint of balance

 

there has to be a doc/other protective pr/immune role in ADDITION to the cop

 

which means scum should have some balance

 

i did the math and i don't think 4 scum in a 13 player game is likely, just from a mislynch pov

 

town bus driver makes no sense, nor does an insane cop or other such variant

 

i don't see how scum doesn't have something to balance out the cop/likely doc?, and that fits 

 

i mean unless we're looking at something beyond the scope of normal roles, yeah?

 

correct me if my thought process is wrong anywhere here?

Nope, I don't think you're wrong, it is possible that there is a scum role to balance a cop/doc setup. There is for sure a reason why there was no NK. But we can't assume it is a bus driver and that everyone targeted the same people (meaning doc & nk targeted the same, and bus driver & cop targeted the same) because honestly the odds of that are astronomical. It's statistically much more likely that you're scum trying to talk your way out.

i've literally played with a bus driver in a 9er on DM

 

it was one of the four games i've played here

 

that's why i'm assuming it's a basic role that shows up fairly often

 

i'm not saying there HAS to be a bus driver, just that there has to be some sort of role or ability that caused me to show as town

 

and, when i think about it, it makes sense balance-wise

Bus driver is they basically switch 2 people's places. So if they swap someone, for this example it would be Cuth, with a mafia member, then anything that was targeted at Cuth would have actually hit the other player. So you would have gotten a report of scum, but it wouldn't actually be about Cuth, but you wouldn't know that.

I just want you to be aware that from the town point of view, we need to lynch you at this point so we can have that "given what we know" information. I will admit that you absolutely know your own alignment, but with the role reveal and accusations, we need to prove who is telling the truth. Ignoring the current information is not an option in my opinion.

 

 

Re the slip comment: mostly it was a joke. It was to point out that when you're talking about having your alignment falsely revealed, you said town. Which would imply that town is your false alignment. It doesn't really matter in the context of the situation, and I more pointed it out that it's funny. If I wanted to prove how you're scum... well, I wouldn't have to, I would just hammer you lol.

In terms of bus potential the red part is kind of awkward.  Obviously a player can't know whether they'll gain insight from a response or not before the response is given.
