BFG- Page 11 is full mostly of your posts and its all just asking for everyone else's opinions on someone else. Do YOU have any opinions? You may have given them after that point, but again I am going from start to finish and commenting on anything I find suspicious. It reads extremely scummy that you give no opinions of anyone and not really of anything but have content full of asking everyone else for theirs.

@Shad it was Nyn talking about hot messes lol, I have kronos as town for general engagement. A little concerned by the content of his early post to Cass, but suspect that the timing of it is more significant than the content!

 

@Shanti how much of your reads list is done via ISO?

Shad doesn't start a wagon on a teammate when there are half a dozen other choices then flip for something short of a smoking gun

 

Lack of interest at eod suggests that Alf was town for lolreasons, and I'd not put huge amounts of faith in it

 

I was going to disagree with the first part of this based on general scum-will-distance theory/?paranoia. 

 

But TLDR on Cass tinfoil and subsequent logic-wrestling + ISO circles.

 

Shad and Alf not likely to be WW here. 

 

Based on the situation yesterday and ISOs of Shad's vote history as wolf in DM games, he doesn't vote his scumbro here for cred.

 

 

Which is not exactly how I was 'thinking' earlier, but anyway.

Essentially, not saying that he can't be Town here, but Alf's read scummy to me because he's given zero opinions. The back and forth with Dice and the hydra comment are the most/only current-game relevant things - and they give zero conclusions other than him defending his non-reaction to Dice's vote and suggesting the hydra is 50-50 scum/Town. Less concrete but still possi-scum for me - there was no response to Shad's vote on him, no discussion with me about links to other games and whether he would/wouldn't give them, even though I asked twice.

 

The counter to this is that looking at the online/offline status, he's been gone for extended periods of time, so there is a chance that he's just missed those. But it still bugs me because it could indicate a lack of interest in engaging/reading the game for solve and I can't help but lean that closer to the side of scum. If it's because of something else I feel like there has been enough time and opportunity for him to come in and say so/explain. I figure there could be several reasons for it, but if he comes back I'd rather hear the explanations from him first. I considered it could be a forum-difference/overwhelmed with volume thing but ftr two recent games on Naruto's mafia forum have 234 and 564 posts respectively in the first ~38 and ~60hrs of D1, by Alf's last appearance this game had 370, so I don't think it's that.

Cass, that is actually the most reasonable argument I have ever seen for lynching an inactive player. Usually inactives are just easy townies for scum to take out, but your thought process there is really well developed.

Those are who I want to be town but Tigs and Shad can be tricksy! It will take me longer to be sure but I would not vote them today.

 

I need meta on Shanti. At least a little. Since questions about her play this time are popping up.

 

Can not get a good look at DPR since he is traveling. Probably not vote for him this time yet anyway though.

 

Others are absent so that is making this difficult.

The Oldster set uses the term "scum hunting" and approaches the game from a "look for teh bad stuff" that points to scum. It's evidence based.

 

The New Gen uses the "clear town first" method. they rely heavily on meta and reading past games to develop a profile. It's probability based.

 

The problem, as I see it, is that it's easy to change your meta... all you have to do is zig when you were supposed to zag, and you got everyone fooled. 

 

There are arguments to be made for both styles and truth be told, everyone uses a combo of both to an extent.

 alf im actually thinking town. i dont think scum make those responses knowing they may get jumped on for them   especially if theres someone who knows me in that team who can say Dice WILL jump on you.

 

the AFTERMATH of it  with tigs and killa is drawing my focus and im trying really hard not to fall in a tunnel

I have gut/tinfoil concerns on some of Shad's posts, but he doesn't make that move as WW imo, and if Alf is Town does he bother making that move as Scum?

 

My current take is possibly, but it seems like unnecessary effort at that point?

Not sure I fully understood your reasoning behind it "losing points" his reason for not paying it any attention seemed valid to me. Maybe that is a newb way to think, but I have seen people go under fire for doing the opposite and questioning an out of the gate vote that had been stated to have no reasoning other than as such. Grasping to find something that isn't there?

This is a huge reach to me. If I'm pissy you can ask anyone, my attitude totally changes. Reference our last fb game. I got heated at Tigs and my sister, and I got sloppy. It's perfectly legit to wait for more when someone may be in a bad mood.

Then she has been in a bad mood the ENTIRE game. Even while you were in a bad mood you TRIED to solve. You TRIED to contribute. I'm getting none of that from her.
