A sort-of "fix" for the new quoting systems

The new quote system is gonna be hard for mafia, when quoting several persons, but I figured out a way to make it a tad easier. Quote all the posts you want, and then press "advanced reply". This will give you a preview of your posts, with proper formatting. It's still a hassle because you gotta scroll up and down to check, but it's easier than trying to remember who said what in each quote.

heyy, I know I am not a part of Mafia or whatever, however, I may be able to help here, I have found an easier way to do things which should work with multi-quotes. All you need to do to separate different parts of quotes is to press enter 3 times from the end of the piece you wish to separate. It separates the quotes, and adds a space for a reply, and still keeps the quote timestamp. Here is an example.

For some reason it only works for a sentence separated by a line (ie- You can't split something in the middle of the line. To get round this, all you need to do is put the middle line onto a new line. 

 

If you just hit enter multiple times straight from this, it won't work, it will just expand the quote like this:

Thank you Barid, that def. helps some. Part of the problem in mafia is that you often quote multiple person at a time, and need to remember who wrote what. Not easy if it's 10+ quotes collected over 20 pages So that's why the preview post-thing comes in handy, because that shows you the wuotes how they'll look when you post, with name and all.

Ahh, yeah, fair enough, it makes sense. Post preview does help. 

 

I hope I didn't make a fool of myself by pointing out the method that everyone knows already

I didn't know it! And it will absolutley help alot to be able to split up quotes!

 

 

And don't worry, in the mafia forums we make fools of ourselves pretty often

We won´t get back the old way of quoting? If so, why not?

I think they can improve this version, since this looks more clean, by just adding in a name into the top caption.  Another method is to write down the name of the person you quote after you quote them, more manual way, but it still works.
