  1. Because I am so bored I came across this in the armory page.  It said we had three available.  Do we still have these or have they been discontinued?

If I remember correctly they are not susceptible to the elements (don't rust), they do not need sharpening, and are supposedly indestructible except if you thrust it into one of the Forsaken or the DO like Rand did.  Basically they are just a novelty item that saves you a little time since there is no maintenance to perform.

  2. *sniffles and snuggles with Corwin* Sadly I wish I was away for the weekend. As some of you know, I decided it would be a good idea to stand outside in the rain on Thursday night to watch my Football team play. Well...big surprise, I got sick as the result. I spent the weekend in bed and completely miserable. I think I may even stay home tomorrow, we'll see. Either way I am feeling at least good enough to drag my laptop to bed with me so I will FINALLY get caught up on DM stuffs.

    This sounds somewhat familiar to Melenis. Best wishes from her ^^;

Damn, I knew that story sounded familiar.

*looks for Eqwina so he can poke her to see if she is real*

  3. Just looking for something to do...

Jehaine do you know anything else about this event?  The only mention of it I could find was in the WT Div forum.  Just figured that if any unbonded Aes Sedai were leaving the Tower they may wish to have an escort since there may be lions, and tiger, and Whitecloaks about.  ;D  Honestly I'm bored and just looking for something to do.  I don't want to resort to making a new char in another Div. ;)

  4. I was reading the WT Div forum and saw the thread for the Fire in the Sky RP.  Perhaps we could have our TG's escort the Aes Sedai to the Caralain Grass for the festival.  I know the event is a celebration of life so if the TG's are not welcome at the event itself they could provide an escort then camp on the outskirts waiting to escort the Aes Sedai back to Tar Valon when they are ready to leave.

Just thought it might be something to do for the TG's.  Any thoughts?

Glad you are feeling a little better.  Next time check the weather report and dress appropriately.  :P

I am envoking the do as I say not as I do rule since I wait 'til I get to work then find out from my co-workers what the weather forecast is for the day.  You would think I would at least catch it on my commute in but I don't.  In regards to holidays, I don't usually know its a holiday until 8 am rolls around and I realize that none of my bosses or secretaries/admin. assistants are at work.  Ooh well its my world.  :P

*pokes Eqwina to make sure she is real*  ;D    :-*

  6. He listened as the Attack Leader to control of the class.  Now they were to go over offensive weaves using fire.  "The important thing to remember about fire, is that it can be unpredictable." the Attack Leader warned them.  Geirrin knew first hand, something that had been drilled into him when he was first taught to wield flows of fire.

Geirrin went through the weaves as the Attack Leader instructed.  He started with Fireballs, he had used them often in training and liked them.  Geirrin practiced hurling them as fast and as accurate as possible.  One by one the fireballs exploded on the manaquins until those in his path no longer stood.  Fireballs were the ranged weave of choice for most channelers.

Next Geirrin practiced weaving flows of fire and spirit.  He extended the flows until the remnants of the manaquins burst into flames.  He was surprised to see that he could hold multiple flows at once.  As soon as one target burst into flame he let the weave go creating another.  He also found that he could chose exactly what part of the manaquin that he wanted to ignite.  Another thing that interested him was that he could either set the target on fire or he could continue to hold the weave until it exploded.

Geirrin created more targets then wove flows of air and fire to cut off parts of the manaquins.  He would start by taking limbs off then would dice up what was left of the body.  It was just a target to him, that was all.  He never really thought of it being much else.  He enjoyed the destruction though he liked creating things more.  What he loved most though was learning new things to do with the power, it was interesting to him.

The last thing he did was make elemental blades trying them out on the pratice dummies.  He experimented and found that there were several different types that he could make.  He had made weapons from Earth before though now he experimented with some he had seen others use.  With flows of Water and Air he made a sword of ice, with Fire he could make a blazing sword, Air and Spirit created a sword of air, and his favorite was one using all five of the elements.  This created a sword of light energy.  It seemed like it could destroy anything.  It crackled when it struck the target and he smiled.

  7. The Black Tower on any given day was like an ant hill that had just been kicked yet today people moved with an extra measure of something else, urgency he thought.  Geirrin had heard the call for them to gather on the training grounds.  Grabbing his black coat and sword belt he sprinted from the barracks to the training ground where the others were forming.

It was like the hum of a thousand insect wings beating at the air as everyone speculated on why they had been called to form up.  The rumors were rampant though each had a common theme even if the details were as different as night and day.  The common theme was that Shadowspawn had poured into Shienar from the Blight.  How many or of what variety they did not know for sure.

Geirrin buttoned up his coat then strapped on the sword belt as he waited for the Storm and Attack Leaders to arrive and tell them what was going on.  He fingered the hilt wondering if he would ever use the sword that he was forced to train with.  He could easily make one with the power if needed.  He was good at making things yet the sword he carried today was made by a blacksmith here at the Tower.
