Since 'mud' is a valid word, I think you lose, Cindy. Or rather, I win.
I wonder where blank went?
Q

All right, our contestants have locked in their wagers. As a reminder, the category for Final Jeopardy is..
MATRIM CAUTHON
And now, here's the Answer:
When Mat systematically searched for this particular Darkfriend who was hunting Elayne, Egwene, and Nynaeve, he had none of his fabled Dark One's luck. It was only when he gave up and picked an inn at random did he find the man.
Contestants must PM me their responses by midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight. Remember to phrase your response in the form of a question.
Good luck!

Actually, I think I was supposed to start the next round. Per the rules in the opening post:
Player who wins each round can either play the first letter of the next round or can wait for game host to do so (that'd be me!)
And we seem to have lost our moderator. So my apologies for not doing my duty, but since Cindy has gotten us started, I'll add:

Ithi was close. I believe it is:

And at last we move into the Final Jeopardy round!
In this round, players begin by PM'ing me how much of their accumulated score they wish to wager on their final question, based on their knowledge of this category:
Matrim Cauthon
Players have until midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight to let me know their wagers.
Tomorrow I'll post the final Answer, and players will have until the end of the day to PM me the correct response. When the scores are tallied, we'll see who wins this week's game of Jeopardy!
So remember, you can wager as much or as little as you want, from 0 points up to your total accumulated points, but you must PM me your wager by midnight EST tonight.
Good luck!

Shara
Category: A Long Time Ago...
It took Lews Therin Telamon and this number of Companions to reseal the Dark One's prison. Too bad they all went mad for their trouble.
One Hundred
Despite its name, this era of bloody succession following the death of Artur Hawkwing actually lasted almost a century and a quarter.
War of the Hundred Years
During this famous period, Shadar Logoth developed its fearsome reputation. Trollocs checked in, and they never checked out.
Trolloc Wars
Category: Here There Be Monsters

With pale skin and large eyes, these twisted men love to sing their victims a lullaby--into an early grave.
Draghkar
This Aiel Waste serpent didn't get its name from its love of dancing. One bite and you've permanently surrendered your dance card.

Cindy,
Horticulturalist would not have counted, because to get to that word, you have to spell Horticultural which is a valid word. The name of the game is to force the next player to spell out a valid word.

Okay, I understand now. No, you definitely won the last round with Horticultura, since the only solution would be to add an L, making the word HORTICULTURAL. Never mind.

No worries. As I've discovered on the WoT Jeopardy thread, running a game is a lot of work.

And now we move into the Double Jeopardy round. The answers are more challenging, but the point scores are higher. The scores from this round will be combined with the scores achieved in the first round.

You win this round, Ithi. The only option would be E, which makes QUEUE, a valid word.
