I can't answer to "these kinds" part, but I don't really want to give mechanical information on the style of roles, like if they are limited use or unlimited use or what the composition may be, but Im already saying too much

I am not sure the level of information you need to get past whatever it is you are doing

I could give a more organized reads list, but I'm literally doing my first full reread with a notepad right now. I think I'm known more for my d2s than my d1s specifically because it's after a few flips I do my big rereads (knowing some alignments helps).

This is also my first game in 2 years, so IDK what meta is really doing for you there

What I am trying to say in that post is that if you and Clov were mafia together, there's a chance him saying your mechanical pondering d1 was towny could've been an effort to change public opinion of you without having to extend himself much

For the most part yes, people with power roles should try not to make it obvious / say it out loud. There are times a power role might considering claiming though but its a judgment call.

Let's say a role has given you relevant information to something going on in the game - you are cop and you peeked a mafia member - stuff like that can be good to reveal especially when town needs direction. There are edge cases (like if you are a cop and you peeked someone town but they are getting voted out) where you need to weight the risk of revealing your role vs the value of the information it will provide.
